My husband and I had to book a hotel at the last minute. Our original plans fell through and so we decided to book something in Mexico City close to tourist areas and restaurants. So the location was very good. Checking in was brutal though. There was a group of about 10 in front of us and they could not... More

Our room was on the tenth floor on the street side. Both nights we could hear bar noise, sirens, people laughing, etc. easily through the window until the wee hours. The room (1004) has not been renovated as of last week, and it looks like it is from the 1960's----cheap chair, cheap small round table, cheap beds, 20-W bulb (maybe).... More

During a business trip to Mexico City, I bookended my official travel with stays at the Hotel del Angel. The price point is unbeatable, and the location is excellent. At that rate, however, don't expect the Ritz, and consider bringing earplugs if you are not used to city noise. Most floors have not been updated, and appear to be stuck... More

I liked it a lot. Spacious, nice room, good location, clean, big and comfortable bed The TV was kind of small for that room and I was able to hear the street noise at night, a little uncomfortable. No fridge and I couldn't find the A/C control, Lucky me I had good weather when I was there.

We booked a three night stay through Expedia thinking it was a decent hotel and centralized to the center of Mexico City. The location was spot on but the hotel was horrible. Front desk service and rooms was very low quality. The rooms (we had two) were dirty, the beds were not made two days in a row, we requested... More

We stayed at this hotel, which has an excellent location, other than that it was horrible. Is neglected and the service stinks. I had to switch to a "deluxe" room as the one I was staying was horrible, the "deluxe" one was not much better at 400.00 extra pesos per night, oh and they switched me as if they were doing... More

First I did not pay for the hotel so I cannot tell you if it is a good value or not. The hotel was real basic and the bathroom fixtures were a bit rusted but everything was clean. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet (big plus for me). It's close to several good restaurant which is another plus.... More

It is not wonderful - but a good stay. I am mostly impressed because it has been there a long time and lasted through many earthquakes. A tour service is located downstairs and would contact them for tours. They will take you anywhere. The overall stays I have had there are OK - but not wonderful. Can not beat the... More

I was traveling to work in Mexico City and as soon as I got into the Hotel my nightmare begins. The floor and furniture were dirty. The portable air conditioning didn't work well. I ask the reception to change it and they asked me to open the window. Unbelievable. The shower was smaller than me. The pillow was dirty too.... More
