The hotel offers a good staying solution for the non-demanding guests: the furniture is old and not so spectacular, but it's clean and tidy. Weak wifi signal in the rooms, the staff is not so friendly and some people do not speak English fluently.

The Posada Viena has been my choice for thirty years when travelling in Mexico with student groups. Charming décor, large rooms(especially in the wing above the Argentinian steak-restaurant) and very friendly personnel make the Posada Viena an excellent deal for people who travel economically, yet want to sleep comfortably.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times over the last couple of years. It's in a great location, within walking distance of the Centro Historico (if you like to walk), and is safe to walk around in, even at night. The rooms are nothing special, but comfortable.Being a small hotel, only four floors, it's easy to get in and... More

Posada Viena was a fine hotel in a good location. I would however like to warn travellers to be cautious when booking here online. We had issues with a particular booking website and two duplicate bookings were sent to Posada. The management were kind enough to acknowledge the mistake and attempted to have the duplicates canceled, however we later discovered... More

The best part, and perhaps the most engaging: the genuine kindness of the people working in and for the Posada. Then, comes the rest: the beds...hard and uncomfortable, Lighting in the room: scarce and remorseful. Peculiar policies: not sufficient towels unless seriously requested, no wash cloth, thus you use an entire towel as small wash cloth. Toilet paper: allowed two... More

It claims 4 stars, but it is more or less equivalent to a European 3 stars. However it is reliable, is conveniently located in a safe area, accepts all credit cards, and customers are treated very friendly. It is in the touristy neighbourhood called “Zona Rosa”, at the corner between Calle Marseilla and Calle Dinamarca. It is a rather modern... More

In a good neighbourhood, convenient to the Insurgentes and Cuauhtemoc Metro station, close to Condesa and Roma areas. The place is clean, everything works, the staff is helpful and a lot of them speak English.

Very Mexican hotel in a nice neighborhood, very quiet. MC was experiencing a cold spell & we froze at night! Our entire tour group asked for extra blankets! Staff was friendly & accommodating. Only 1 very thin bath towel per person, no hand towel. Very small bathroom & the only ventilation was a window & when the temperature is in... More

This is a very pleasant hotel, with friendly service, comfortable rooms, attractive colouful mexican decor, no noise at night, in an area where you can eat cheaply but well at simple Mexican restaurants. The Argentinian restaurant downstairs was prohibitively expensive for us. A few blocks away is the cross roads of Paseo de Reforma and Insurgentes and it was easy... More

I had problems with my phone and could not get a room at my preferred hotel in DF for a holiday weekend. Wound up here. The hotel was overpriced (700 pesos) for what you get. My room was dingy and needed a major cleaning. It had only been given only room change cleanings for a long time. I am not... More
