Excellent location for Zona Rosa and Centro Historico. Clean and well maintained, although wifi was not at all reliable. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed there on our first and last 3 night in Mexico.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2015

We spent two days in the Posada Viena at the end of March. The staff was very helpful, the free breakfast adequate and the location in the heart of the Zona Rosa meant that lots of things were within walking distance. The rooms were large and colorfully painted. My only complaints were that the beds were too hard and that... More

Reception was very good, friendly staff. The room was large enough with fresh flowers, but was dated. The bathroom could have used a renovation. There was no free wifi in the rooms, had to go down to the reception area. I appreciated that the location was near everything. The hotel has an Argentine restaurant downstairs. They also had music and... More

We wouldn't ask for anymore improvements of this hotel: delicious traditional breakfast, comfy& cozy room with nice view although it was not so spacious, friendly staff... We would come back here again in our next trip to Mexico

I stayed for five nights here and found it a very good base from which to explore the city. Depending on what you are used to, it is quite basic and the staff appear a bit wary of English-speaking guests. The Argentine steak restaurant below can get quite busy and there was late-night music and dancing in the building one... More

I must say, our initial reception at the hotel was excellent. The receptionist on hand was very friendly and helpful, but the rooms are very dated and should, at the very least, be painted and have the carpet (especially on the beds!) taken out. Our problem started the next morning just before 11am when we were to leave the hotel.... More

The hotel offers a good staying solution for the non-demanding guests: the furniture is old and not so spectacular, but it's clean and tidy. Weak wifi signal in the rooms, the staff is not so friendly and some people do not speak English fluently.

The Posada Viena has been my choice for thirty years when travelling in Mexico with student groups. Charming décor, large rooms(especially in the wing above the Argentinian steak-restaurant) and very friendly personnel make the Posada Viena an excellent deal for people who travel economically, yet want to sleep comfortably.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times over the last couple of years. It's in a great location, within walking distance of the Centro Historico (if you like to walk), and is safe to walk around in, even at night. The rooms are nothing special, but comfortable.Being a small hotel, only four floors, it's easy to get in and... More

Posada Viena was a fine hotel in a good location. I would however like to warn travellers to be cautious when booking here online. We had issues with a particular booking website and two duplicate bookings were sent to Posada. The management were kind enough to acknowledge the mistake and attempted to have the duplicates canceled, however we later discovered... More
