The good reviews must be from employees. The employees are rude beyond belief, they ignore you, look at you like you are dirt. I speak fluent Sapnish and ti was a good thing. They speak no english but that is okay. It is Mexico. Our room was a triple. They advertise refrigerators, microwave, jacuzzi, etc., in all rooms. There is... More

We stayed about 4 nights as this was where our tour was departing. Staff at the hotel were very nice, even the cleaning lady was courteous. I think the location is central and quite close to the Zocalo (where Cathedral is), pharmacy, taquerias, restaurants, and even the subways. I didn't really feel dangerous in Mexico City. We walked around even... More

I've been very well in this hotel, even if breakfast is expensive when compared to a comida in the same hotel (at the same price). However, people working there are friendly

During the swine flu outbreak, we stayed here for $38, which is a relative bargain for this area. Rooms are nicely decorated with fans, cable TV, phones, modern bathrooms, windows that open and floor fans. There is a full service restaurant with room service and on site parking. There are 2 PCs with internet access in the lobby area, but... More

Hotel Metropol is not for honeymooners. The walls are paper thin but the accommodations are just fine. It is certainly a good bang for the buck. The hotel lobby is lovely, offering a lot of local marble and artwork. There are two elevators that service the 160 rooms, but they are TINY. Three of us with a suitcase each was... More

We stayed at the Metropol for four days in April. The service and staff were absolutely excellent providing good advice on resturants, tour companies and more. They changed our room from interior to exterior (the front street was quiet) quite happily when we changed our mind. The hotel is located just two blocks from the very lovely and green Allemeda... Stayed here for four days. It was very hot and they put a fan in our room without us asking. Gave us key cards willingly when we lost ours. Very friendly to us, great service.

We stayed at the Hotel Metropol in Mexico City. DF on the address is District Federal which you may see on many Mexico City addresses. The Hotel is verfy central and within walking distance of the main Zocoro (city center). The subway in Mexico City is only 20 cents ! which is 2 pesos, so don't be afraid to use... More

The Hotel Metropol was a great place to stay. Next time I am in Mexico city I plan to stay there again. Good for business travelers and people who are vaguely familiar with Mexico city. NOT good for students traveling alone as it is not near many eateries, stores etc. - is two subway (Metro) stops from the Zona Rosa,... More
