I have been to Mexico City often to perform in a choir with an orchestra in the Sala Nezahualcoytl on the UNAM campus. We always are put up in the south part of the city, which is not as convenient for sightseeing, but very convenient for getting to the hall for our rehearsals and concerts. Usually we have stayed in... More

Re: HOTEL ROYAL PEDREGAL MEXICO D.F. Should you find yourself in the southern environs of Mexico City, you might wish to check out the ROYAL PEDREGAL at Periferico Sur No. 4363. Here you will find the exceptionally efficient Sr. Lauro, Concierge. The 24-hour coffee shop is a real plus as most Norte Americans do not relate well to the dinning... More

I booked three rooms for my colleagues in the Hotel Royal Pedregal in Mexico City for mid July 2014. My colleagues went there and paid the invoices when checking out. I was therefore surprised when the Hotel Royal Pedregal charged our credit card with a one night fee. I sent all the payment receipts to the hotel, and the hotel... More

The Royal Pedregal was a nice, quiet hotel in Mexico City. It had a nice lobby. The room I had was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful. The quality of the food in its restaurant was quite good, although a little pricy, as one might expect in a good hotel. The menu was a little limited... More

This is one of the few hotels that I wouldn`t recommend. The hotel and the rooms are very outdated. We were checked in and given a smokers room. The smell was TOO much. We complained to the front desk and were given a suite since they didn't have any other rooms available but were told we needed to leave it... More

This is a hotel that I would strictly recommend to business travellers who are only staying because of business and nothing more. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. They provide cable tv and the food was quite good. However, the location is very far from everything else. No major attractions nearby. Yes, there is a mall within... More

It's fine for business. Not quite a 4 star hotel. Some rooms are pretty small so ask when you check in. Wifi is very slow, so skype calls are almost impossible. Restaurant is fine. The hotel itself is miles from anywhere and approx 1 hour away from the hotel in rush hour.

Hotel has good service, large rooms. Front desk always helpful. The pool and gym is reasonable and there is someone there to support. Classes are held in the studio if you fancy yoga or other activities. A western style mall is close by, but lots of traffic usually in the area. Note the area around the hotel is totally dead.... We stayed in this hotel from Jan 28th - Feb 4th and our experience was awful! Starting with the check in, we didn't get the room that we booked plus the front desk staff was very rude. The bed sheets had holes, the towels were ripped, the shower was clogged and the phone in the room was not working. The... More

I've traveled to Mexico on business on many occasions, but never stayed this far south. It was recommended by my customer for a good corporate rate, but there is many and much better alternatives. Bedrooms are large, but everything about them is OLD. My linens and specially towels were very old and had seen better days. Although WiFi is free,... More
