We arrived late. The night manager Guillermo Vargas was aggressive, not even a "hello" when we were told to pass and see him on reception. He aggressively waited for almost a minute and said "I am busy, what do you want?" Go to the next person, I am too busy..... They gave us the wrong room (we asked for King-size... More

I've been staying at Royal Pedregal for the last 10 years. The location is very convenient for me since it's close to most of my business meetings. Over my last couple of stays I have been extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the hotel in general. But this last time made me want to write a review. The mattresses on the... More

My room was big with all the amenities you would expect from a business hotel (decent bathroom, free water, desk, usually okay free wifi, etc.). But no exceptional design, comfort or coziness. The Hotel itself is built in the “Mexican monumental style” with Mexican folkloric elements, huge sculptures, large lobby, etc. When it was new it was probably pretty impressive... More

None of the hotel rooms have windows. Hotel is 20 years old. Rooms service is ridiculously slow. For a 200 USD room we found it very poor. First room we got was smelly and tiny. Think about it twice before checking in. Wifi is 10 usd per day per device.

I have never stayed in a hotel were the staff was so incompetent and unhelpful. Not a single thing went right for a week, neither with the room, nor with the food, nor with the requests for taxis or service we made from the hotel staff. A FedEx package came for me and had I not had the document proving... More

The good: Nice rooms, good food, free wifi, really friendly & helpful staff, location good for the south of the city and right on a main road which makes it easier to get around. Iron in the room (my pet hate is hotels where they don't let you iron your own clothes!) The bad: wifi was very slow, it wasn't... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, ROYAL PEDREGAL located at Periferico Sur No. 4363 is in the southern end of the city. The hotel has good amenities, including large closets and a very big make-up mirror in the bathroom. The staff was nice and although the hotel rooms were not modern, they was large and you could open a portion of... More

I have been to Mexico City often to perform in a choir with an orchestra in the Sala Nezahualcoytl on the UNAM campus. We always are put up in the south part of the city, which is not as convenient for sightseeing, but very convenient for getting to the hall for our rehearsals and concerts. Usually we have stayed in... More

Re: HOTEL ROYAL PEDREGAL MEXICO D.F. Should you find yourself in the southern environs of Mexico City, you might wish to check out the ROYAL PEDREGAL at Periferico Sur No. 4363. Here you will find the exceptionally efficient Sr. Lauro, Concierge. The 24-hour coffee shop is a real plus as most Norte Americans do not relate well to the dinning... More

I booked three rooms for my colleagues in the Hotel Royal Pedregal in Mexico City for mid July 2014. My colleagues went there and paid the invoices when checking out. I was therefore surprised when the Hotel Royal Pedregal charged our credit card with a one night fee. I sent all the payment receipts to the hotel, and the hotel... More
