I should have realized that we were in trouble when the hotel staff made a huge deal of ushering us to a "quiet room" overlooking the interior courtyard. We had heard that the street noise was particularly bad with this hotel, so it seemed like a good idea. Until the second day. Without exterior windows, we couldn't tell whether it... More

The positive: The location is unbeatable: right across from the Zócalo. BUT, that means NOISE from the street, from the church bells and from the events that are frequently held in the Zócalo. I used ear plugs and slept fine. The interior of the building is beautiful, and the rooftop restaurant/bar offers great views. The service at the reception was... More

This hotel was so beautiful and located in Zocalo square which is the most perfect location. We also had a wonderful view of all of Zocalo and the National Palace. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Staff was very friendly.

The room if not the whole hotel was / is perfectly fine. The restaurant location on the roof overlooking the Zoccalo is spectacular but... From the moment we checked in, we found the LH doesnt know what the RH is doing. Not once, but several times, we were told one thing over the phone, only to find on presenting to... More

Stay was very good to excellent, nice location and nice staff. I asked for something special in room and the staff made it happen, it was for my anniversary. Lots of food to eat in area. We are already planning our next trip to mexico City..

Our stay, one night, was great except for a terrible shower. The room on the 6th floor was very nice with a view of the zocalo. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke English. It is well located in Mexico City close to shopping, museums and restaurants.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, however there seemed to be either a lack of communication between departments or the in-house computer system was inadequate. Although the view from our room on the 5th floor was amazing over looking the square in the historic center we were kept awake all night 3 nights running as workers constructed a... More

This hotel is a bit like a run-down Grand Budapest Hotel! We enjoyed its history and faded grandeur but it really does need an update. Our room (a standard King) seemed a little grubby, the basin in the bathroom was very wobbly, and the room was seriously underfurnished (e.g. no bedside table on one side of the bed, though we... A great hotel just in front of Catedral. Food is really tasty. Views are really beautifull. If you have the chance you can view the flag rising at 8:00am. The street on sunday is very active. You can see people running or walking with their dogs. The Catedral is just in front. This days the streets are closed because the... More

My mom and I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. It was close to everything: Sunday market, Turi bus stand, Palacio De Bellas Artes. It is located on the main avenue. So you can walk even at night and it is safe. There are many restaurants and cafes, stores and small shops. It is close to a metro. The... More
