I never go to Mexico City without spending some time at the Hotel Catedral on Donceles. Most workers there know me and I just feel like I am among friends after MANY visits the past 10 years! It is always a pleasure to see the bellboy Luis Angel who knows what's what in the Centro Historico. Telma in the dining... More

I have stayed in Mexico city before and wanted to stay somewhere different with my family on Vacation. I rented two rooms at Hotel cathedral so some of our mexican family would stay with us while we were in mexico city. The view of the back of the cathedral was incredible and the room was very modern and clean. Our... More

Great location, two blocks from the zocalo. Very friendly staff. Hooked us up with a driver to take us to the Frida museum, and Teotehuacan. Nice restaurant downstairs, open when several in the area were not yet open, or closed for the evening. Less than $100/nt., it was a real bargain, but a clean, quiet hotel. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Catedral in three years. This is a hotel for the travelers that enjoy being close to the heart of an old city. From the front door of the hotel, you are five minutes from the Catedral, the Zocalo, etc. And in less than five minutes in the other direction, one of the... More

We were there 4 nights then transferred to a 5 star hotel that I wanted to know, then went back to Catedral for 2 more nights. The 5 star hotel was nice but next time I am in Mexico City Hotel Catedral will be my hotel. The location is great, the room very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The staff is... More

Have been going to Mexico City for many years. The first 5 years I stayed on the zocalo I the Hotel Majestic. Like that hotel, but the 5:00 am marching band to raise the flag gets annoying after one night. Since that time I have spent each year in a different neighborhood. My favorite is El Colonia followed by Roma.... More

I was looking for a hotel that was very close to the Zócalo central plaza. I wanted a good restaurant in the hotel and a concierge that could take care of taxis and transportation to the Teotihuácan pyramids. The Hotel Catedral has a perfect location. It is within 2 blocks of the Zócalo, the Catedral, the Palacio Nacional, the Aztec... More

Hotel Catedral has been my go-to hotel in Mexico City for over 10 years. The location with secure parking, the quality and range of service (concierge, restaurant, room service), can't be beat for their prices. The hotel has been renovated since my first stay and is very modern and appealing. Most of the staff speak good English making this hotel... More

My sister and I stayed at the Hotel Catedral this past month, April 2015. She wanted a 5 star hotel but my guide book rated the Catedral as top notch. Today we got the bill and it turns out we paid only $57 USD per room, single occupancy. I think that it was a whale of a bargain. We could've... More

I arrived early morning at Mexico city, the reception was so generous to let me do early check in at 7am. The room is really clean and have a small terrace overlooking the street. Most importantly, the breakfast is so delicious, traditional Mexican food and the lady chef would do A la carte for you, so delicious!
