If you are on a budget it is totally worth it. It is located a few blocks away of Zócalo and near to most atractions. Staff is friendly and helpful. The building is a bit old and there is no much ambient but is ok for a couple of nights. Basic breakfast and dinner included and totally worth it for... More

The food provided is tasty and make this a great value option, and the location is great as well. We stayed in a private double room which was comfortable enough, especially for the price. We enjoyed our stay until the last night, when the hostel decided to host a drum circle in the downstairs lobby until 11pm. The noise carried... More

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your comments, this help us to improve our service. About your last night, we are sorry but we often organizate these kind of events because the hostel is special for those who like parties. Even so, we try to finish at 10:30 or 11 for the rest who wants to sleep Next time we will ask... More

Clean, located a few blocks from the zocalo and right by food. The hostel offers a ground level bar and pretty fast wifi. Not the world's cleanest bathrooms but satisfactory none the less. Over the weekend it had more of a party atmosphere so be prepared. All in all very good.

The hostel is really good located only 2 blocks from the catedral and the Zocalo (big main plaza en D.F./Mexico City). It has a really nice and big rooftop, a great and big breakfast and a nice, standard dinner, both included in the price - 170 MXN per night. The rooms are clean and quiet even though they are located... More

As a cheap hostel that provides free wifi, breakfast and dinner included with your payment is very good. For 190 pesos per night you can't expect a five stars service, food and wifi signal/speed. There are a few details like The wifi didn't work a whole day and the first night there were this guys making a lot of noise... More

Loved the breakfast provided by Victor and his team every morning!! Miss your morning Cumbia, salsa music.... The location is perfect- 2 minutes walk from the main square and close to the railway stations.

Hostal Amigo is located in the historical centre and breakfast and dinner is included in the price. I've stayed here for 4 nights, but the dorm was terrible. There were no windows nor ventilation in our dorms and barely any natural light. Meaning that every morning you wake up to the smell of your fellow travellers sweat. Not so much... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2015

I stayed at Hostel Amigo for seven nights in January. The best thing about it is the great location right in the historic center. It's safe day and night, as the area has a impressive police presence. A lot of sights are within walking distance (Zocalo, Merced market, Garibaldi plaza). The Isabel la Catolica Metro-station is also very close, so... More

Have been just one week-end for a short visit in Mexico City. Nice place where to stay and to meet people from all over the world. The hostel is huge and its in a very nive neighourhood, perfect to visit the historical centre. The rooms are cheap and the rate includes breakfast and dinner. If it's your first visit in DF,... More

The facilities are ok, you get what you see in the pictures. My review is negative because of the lack of service, unfriendliness and lack of courtesy over the telephone. I know my spanish is not great but it didn't seem to matter that I tried. Nor were they willing to listen and hear me out in english. Anyhow it's... More
