I was horrified when the taxi pulled up the the entrance to the alley. We could barely find the front door behind the two abandoned delivery trucks lurching against the curb, and it looked like all the worst things people say about Mexico City -- circa 1975. I had a very good stay in that hotel. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is also convenient (on the edge of the historic centre). The Hotel Avilla provided clean, safe and convenient accomodations for my recent trip to Mexico City. Just a stone's throw from Av Reforma and the Hidalgo Metro stop it was quite easy to get anywhere I wanted to in the city.
