Rick and Carmen were magnificent hosts. They make a totally unique experience for their guests. Rick shared so much history and information about Guanajuato. He hooked us up with a wonderful guide, Israel, who gave us a terrific tour. We will definitely recommend Casa Zuniga. The views are beautiful, the rooms very clean and pleasant and the breakfast is fabulous.... More

Stayed with Rick and Carmen at the Casa Zuniga on June 26-29, 2015. The place is just steps from the El Pipila Monumnet that overlooks the Guanajuato city and valley. Unfortunately, the funicar which can whisk you to the top from the valley floor had crashed (literally) the week before and our cab driver didn't know it. He let us... More

Mucas Gracias MarlinRP for your review. Casa Zuniga is 85 meters above the main flat spot in the village, Jardin de Union slash Teatro Juarez. About a 3 minute walk down from Casa Zuniga. The 20,000 steps,... MarlinRP is sadly mistaken. There are 20,000 steps in Casa Zuniga alone. Guests are repeatedly mentioning that when they were checking availability using... More

We drove up to Casa Zuniga following excellent directions from Rick with no trouble. He welcomed us with open arms and warm and sparkly smile. Casa Zuniga is a large rambling house with big generous rooms that sort of hang over the stunning town. He walked us down the steep path into the town and pointed us to his favourite... More

Muchas Gracias Grant B. To make this B&B work for us, we want to be working at home, not living at work. Instead of a stranger coming over to stay, how about we have new friends coming over instead. So now we have friends coming over and we want to make the visit worth their time. All that's needed is... More

Our 2nd stay, this time for the Cervantino Festival . Once again, Rick and Carmen were great hosts, the location and views amazing, and the city a gem. Being above the hustle bustle yet so close, with privacy when you want it, amazing food , a lap pool, and advice and assistance as needed. Highly recommended.

Muchas Gracias ummc88 for your review. In the center of the village is the Gto river. Over the river is the center of the village with flat spots. The main flat spot is Jardin de Union/Teatro Juarez. It's 85 meters down from Casa Zuniga to this flat spot. Running full blast, just under a minute if you don't fall. Or... More

We spent three nights this month at the fabulous Casa Zuniga...Rick goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a memorable experience. From the beautiful rooms with views, to the amazing spread at breakfast, to going above and beyond and conducting tours, and taking travelers to the bus station...highly recommend!

Muchas Gracias cccinhaslet. We realize that for some of our guests, this is their first visit to Mexico. As you know, we do everything possible to make that good first impression. Just spent 3 nights with Ric and Carmen at Casa Zuniga and after reading the past guest reviews they all hit the nail on the head!!Amazing! Much-o Gracias fyi14. Each day we get up, goof-off and have fun. We want everyone that comes over to stay with us to have the same fun. Most of the places that you would want to visit can be reached walking. We can help with a plan. We do what we can to make breakfast delicious. We are hoping that... More

We stayed at Casa Zuniga for a week in the Morgan room. Overlooking the beautiful city of Guanajuato. The owner, Rick, took us on several tours...of the mines and the city. We would of never realized the history of this beautiful city had it not been for Rick. He would not take money for the tours and would of been... More

Muchas Gracias Bellstar2015. Plus you went through the trouble of your first TA review. Thank you so much for taking the time. As you know, Ashland is the sister city of Guanajuato. Because of this, we wanted to do what we could to help you know as much as possible about Guanajuato, with the hope that you could be an... More

Casa Zuniga elevated a trip to Guanajuato from memorable to unforgettable. Let's get the hard facts out of the way. Expansive and sort of contemporary, artsy grounds made with traditional materials. Hot showers with high pressure, huge size rooms, king size beds, fluffy pillows and beds, daily cleaning (it's immaculate and Pine Sol fresh), comforting conveniences like toothbrush holders in... Muchas Gracias emily1201 for this outstanding review. And for booking direct. The only way to book. You outdid yourself my dear. And thanks for giving everyone the heads-up on all the noise of Guanajuato. However, you left out the bottle rockets at 6:00 am. Lot happening some 85 meters below the house and at the Pipila monument 15 meters above... More

On our recent short trip to Mexico (8 days in total), we decided to head up to Guanajuato on an adventure with a couple of friends who had recommended this colonial town.
