Carmen and Rick are fantastic hosts with an immaculate property. It is rambling as it climbs down the hill from Pipila Monument. There is even a lap pool if you have time to take a break from sight seeing. The location is superb - a quick ride on the funicular puts one in the heart of old town right behind... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Zuniga, on our first visit to Guanajuato. It had been highly recommended by friends. We stayed for four days and loved every minute! It is an interesting design with fun art decor. Rick and Carmen are generous, helpful hosts and our stay could not have been more comfortable. Our room was large,... More

We requested a room for Saturday night in Guanajuato and were promised two beds (said the room was for a family so very big). We got there (which was almost impossible to begin with). The parking is a joke and the area felt "unsafe" compared to other areas we visited in Guanajuato. That's probably because the minute we got out... More

We pay the parking. The "joke" lot is next to the Monumento del Pipila. It's a regular lot, fenced, gated, paved, stripped, lights, automated entry/exit, bar code parking slip, lot attendant from 8AM-9PM, overnight parking and a Guanajuato policeman at the Monumento del Pipila during the night to keep an eye on the place. During the high season, parking in... More

We loved the location at the top of the funicular and the authentic breakfasts. Rick's personal home and art tour and the construction stories made us feel a part of Guanajuato. We do have to mention that it is not handicap accessible or may not be the best for people unsure on their feet. There are stairs down to the... More

We have been to Ric & Carmen's lovely B & B three times. Once to visit and twice to stay. Casa Zuniga is very unique. It sits very high on the hill with steps from the huge statue of Pipilla and a few steps from the funicular. We have the Morgan room which is huge with a patio that gives... More

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was just as good as our first visit! When we arrived we did not get to see the owner Rick as it was late at night but a driver that we hired by the name of Israel helped us into the bed and breakfast on account it was pouring rain. We... More

This is really a fantastic place. It's right next to the funicular with a great view over the city. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast was one of the best we had during our stay in Mexico. Can really recommend this place!

Muchas Gracias for taking the time to write your review. Carmen and her kitchen crew work hard at putting together the best breakfast that they can. Very happy to hear that you enjoyed it. The Xavo Mazalt bedroom worked out the way we planned it. This bedroom was designed for a family. Everyone together but with the private sleeping areas.... More

i visited yesterday just to stop in (couldn't stay the night) with a friend, just to see Rick and hoped to get a quick tour of this marvelous B&B. Instead, he gave us an hour of his precious time, showing us around, explaining the details of his amazing murals and art work and in wonderful detail, the entire history of... More

I stayed at Casa Zuniga mid May and chose my accommodation based on Tripadviser reviews - I wasn't disappointed. Wow! What can I say that hasn't already been covered with rave reviews? I suppose I could talk about the experience through the eyes on a female, solo traveller (who does not speak a word of Spanish!). I spent a week... More
