On our recent short trip to Mexico (8 days in total), we decided to head up to Guanajuato on an adventure with a couple of friends who had recommended this colonial town. "YOU MUST SEE A COLONIAL TOWN WHEN YOU COME TO MEXICO......and Guanajuato is the best", the voice echoes in my head. So off we went and stayed at... More

We've stayed with Rick and Carmen not once but twice in their sprawling B&B overlooking Guanajuato next to the El Pipila monument and funicular and enjoyed both times immensely. It is built on a hill so there are stairs to navigate but each level is full of sculptural artwork, paintings, patios and nooks & crannies - and Spectacular views. The... More

Highly recommended. Casa Zuniga is a gorgeous house. Rick and the rest are very friendly, they make you feel at home. Stayed 2 nights at the Margarita room with simply stunning views. Loved waking up to that view and then enjoying the great breakfast! Fresh juice, coffee, eggs, pastery, fruit and mexican sides. Location is next to Monumento Pipila and... More

We stayed with Rick and Carmen on a recent long weekend away from DF. We had the best time. They were so welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Rick told us many entertaining stories over breakfast and even took us on a couple of tours. The breakfasts are tasty and filling! The... More

Muchas Gracias NatKat66, You said it. You didn't stay at Casa Zuniga B&B, "We stayed with Rick and Carmen...". You were staying with friends here in your Guanajuato home. Thank you for accepting our hospitality. It make the difference when the guest knows that they just met some new friends that own the home where they will be staying. Thank... More

Rick and Carmen Zuniga's home / bed and breakfast / art museum features something like a landing strip on the roof, complete with an airplane that looks like it's built out of beer cans and chicken wire. I landed there for four entirely relaxing and welcoming nights and couldn't have been more relieved. The building is big, beautiful and packed... More

Rick and Carmen were fabulous from the minute we made the bookings for a long weekend in Guanajuato. The place is gorgeous and huge! Rick and Carmen have worked hard over the years to build and decorate the house with gorgeous Mexican artisanal pieces from remote communities, as well as with Rick's metal works, which are just amazing. The rooms... More

Simply, Casa Zuñiga is the best place to stay in Guanajuato. Even weeks before arriving, the owner Rick, emailed me inquiring about the way I was arriving and provided me with useful information on how to reach Casa Zuñiga. I found this such a nice gesture. The place was not hard to find like they all say. Just asked the... More

I have stayed at Casa Zuniga twice now, and I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Guanajuato. It has spectacular views of the city, a great breakfast, and Rick, the owner, is a wonderful guy! I do recommend you contact Rick or Carmen directly through Casa Zuniga's website to book your stay: www.casazunigagto.com.

Casa Zuniga was just an amazing place to stay at!! The view from their balcony is simply breathtaking and the lap pool was a perfect place to be at the end of the day. Located next to El Pipila and the funicular that can take you straight down to the theater as well as back up, made it even better!... More

Muchas Gracias Viking239. We are very glad that your home here in Guanajuato worked out for you. We have kept the same room rates for 3 years now. Still 1100 pesos or 85 dollars per night. If you use the T/A filters to find a place to stay, we come up as the number one "budget" B&B for all of... More

The other reviews are correct. There is no doubt that this is the only place to stay! Up on the hill, spectacular views, peace and quiet, lots of privacy, part home part art museum, friendly atmosphere, scrumptious full breakfast, and of course, the one and only Rick!
