Horrible service from everyone in the hotel from the front desk to the restarant, but specially the event organization was a steal, they charged $15,000 per extra hour supossedly for service that we got nothing, not even water. Plus they charged $165 per person for drinking service and getting a soda took us over 3 hours of waiting. Not only... More

It is trying so hard to be a real hotel, but while rooms are spacious you get faux marble bathrooms and furnishings right out of That 70s Show, and cheap touches everywhere. WiFi was hit or miss - mostly miss. Food was decidedly average at best. Would recommend eating elsewhere. It would seem the normal hotel custom of housekeeping knocking... More

The hotel location was not a problem for us as we prioritized modern facilities at a reasonable price. The room was very clean and functional, the matresses a little hard but that's the way they usually are in Mexico. The service, however, could be improved. We arrived on a Monday and found the check in staff to be indifferent. They... More

A modern and well-appointed hotel built on the site (and among the ruins) of an old silver crushing plant along the Guanajuato River escarpment. There is not much to fault here. The good: the standard rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable with the usual inoffensive chain hotel décor. All the necessities were there and they all worked as expected. Our... More

On arrival at the hotel we were impressed with the courtyard and valet parking. Our room turned out to be a 2 room , 1 1/2 bath and king bed. The bed was very comfortable and the linens fresh and crisp, lovely. The room service was good as well. NOW, the day we left I was not feeling well and... More

I like to read, but have noticed that most hotel rooms are for TV viewers. Rooms in Camino Real were specially dark. They have no central light. Only three table lamps with heavy screens and a couple of LED lamps that were a decorative joke. Even to pack my baggage in the morning, I had to take it besides the... More

We have stayed at The Camino Real in many locations. We loved Camino Real Guanajuato. Rooms are nicely decorated and very roomy. Breakfast buffet with a lot of variations is deliciously presented. Location is excellent as it is a 20 minute walking distance from the Alondiga, theater and main zocalo. We drove to the city and never took the car... More

As in our line pilot I stay in a lot of hotels this one ranks in the top of all the hotels I have stayed at. Great location very clean hotel and very friendly staff. They just added another modern wing to the hotel in those rooms are even better. They could use updates on desk chairs and showers but... More

We stayed at Camino Real Guanajuato for two nights after spending one night at Castillo Santa Cecilia. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the front desk staff are very professional and provide high level customer service. Highly recommended.

It's an expensive hotel, the rooms are very good and everything is ok and in a good condition. The service is good but it can be excellent, if you go by car THE PARKING SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATE, and you need to pay $75 pesos per day of parking service. The parking is valet service, you can't... More
