My wife and I stayed in the room in the picture during low season -- we were the only ones there. Needless to say, the hosts were very accommodating. We had just learned my wife was pregnant and she felt sick most of the time. The hosts were helpful about adjusting breakfasts to her needs, and allowing her to use... More

We had high expectations for Casa Serena but were very disappointed. Our room was tiny and basic with barely enough space for a double bed and wardrobe. There was only one mirror and it was in the tiny bathroom - it works so much better to have another mirror in the bedroom. When we arrived we found the welcome perfunctory... More

I didn't think the property lived up to glowing reviews. The location was most inconvenient despite a lovely view. It was quite far from the town center and our driver had difficulty finding it as no one else had heard of the place. Buses do stop at the hotel and are cheap but forget walking back from town up incredibly... More

Excellent B&B. Charming decorations. Great location on top of a hill overlooking the city. Just the right distance away from the center of the city..not too far, not too close. Excellent breakfast. Reasonable prices (around $50 including tax and breakfast). This place is highly recommended and I couldn't recommend the town of Guanajuato more. I have traveled very extensively and... More

Casa Serena combines modern, comfortable accommodations built in traditional Mexican style with a spectacular view of the World Heritage city of Guanajuato. Sitting on the terrace outside our room, we felt as if we were on a movie set. The vivid colors of the houses dotting the mountainside and the baroque architecture of the churches are striking. It's a 10-minute... More

Our time spent at Casa Serena was wonderful. It is a great B & B with an awesome view. We chose it even though it was not right downtown because of the area it was in and the view we knew we would have from their terrace. The gentleman who owns the place was most helpful and even came to... More

Casa Serena is great place to stay at: a traditional house in Guanajuato turned into a B&B. The view from the terrace is beautiful, especially at night: you can not only see the whole city from above but also the surrounding hills. The place is only a 5-minute-downhill-walk to beautiful downtown or you can take public transportation that stops in front... The Casa Serena B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Guanajuato, because it's off the beaten track, very quiet, and the rooms are impeccable. Eduardo Vidaurri, the owner, has done a great job - the rooms are nicely furnished and decorated, and the bathrooms are great - very nice colors. The breakfasts are prepared individually (fruit, breads, eggs, ham,... More
