I stayed here in February and had a great stay. Be prepared to walk up or down the many stairs (as there is no direct access), but so worth the walk! Great views of the city from a lovely balcony, great facilities, amazing breakfast and lovely staff. A 15 min walk to the centre of the city- down the stairs... More

We spent 3 fantastic days at this beautiful, family-owned hostel. The roof-top terrace with its own lounge and barbecue overlooks the whole city of Guanajuato and the hostel is full of pretty little details. It is run by a family, the sons work at the reception (very good English!), the mother serves you delicious local breakfast and the daughter helps... More

This is by far the nicest hostal I've ever stayed at. In fact it is nicer than a Iot of hotels I have been to! The price is a bargain when you factor in the restaurant-quality breakfast (I was always offered seconds and thirds), the onsite DIY laundry, and I can't forget to mention the spectacular views from the dorms... I stayed in the dorm recently and it was truly one of the best dorm set ups I've ever experienced. The dorm is huge and my bed (number 8) was semi private, with windows on two sides, a dresser with mirror, two personal lights, outlet next to the bed for charing things, and there were no less than 2 full... Absolutely loved my stay here. The view is the best, the staff are amazing and the breakfast is absolutely delicious amd plentiful to help with walking the guanujuato hills. The steps up to the hostel are not too bad (I had about 15kilos of backpack and am not very fit) and its so worth it and there are places you... More

Hostal Casa de Dante has to be one of the best hostels I've every stayed at! The staff are so welcoming and friendly. We didn't just feel like guests but more like one of the family. Although there are a lot of steps to walk up to the hostel, the views at the top and the stay are definitely worth... More

This place was more like a resort than a hostel. It is beautifully perched on a hill overlooking the town of Guanajuato and the cuevaceous hills surrounding it. There are two roof decks where I spent almost every evening sipping a glass of wine while watching the sunset. I chose the dorm room, and was placed on a corner with... More

This hotel is special because the management treats guests as long-time friends. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable. It should be noted that although the local bus from the Central de Autobuses comes close to the hotel stairs, a first-time visitor will not find those stairs without assistance from someone who knows their location. You should take a taxi... More

La Casa de Dante is a beutifully decorated hostel in classic Mexican style. The vivid colours make it a joyful place, enhanced by the charm and hospitality of the staff. Breakfasts are remarkable and a great introduction to Mexican cuisine. The location might be an issue for some people as the steps could be a challenge, but this is Guanajuato!... More

Service is pretty good, breakfast is nice, its clean and safe, the only thing is the location, you need to do lots of stairs to get there Overall i would come back The staff is really welcoming El hostal esta muy bien, lo único malo es que es esta en un callejón de muy difícil acceso, hay que subir muchas...
