From the moment we were greeted by the hotel staff at reception, ushered to our fabulous, quiet rooms, we were treated like royalty. I would never consider staying anywhere else in Guanajuato and will never forget The kindness, helpfulness and joyful spirit of everyone working at Anigua Vapor. Perfect location, easy walking to everything but away from the noise and... More

I made my reservation by calling the hotel directly. It may take some time for the staff to find someone to speak English. But between my Spanish and their English I was able to book a room successfully. The hotel requires the first night as a deposit, which they charge to your credit card upon making your reservation. This can... More

We loved Hotel Antiguo Vapor. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was charming. We were there 6 nights and had no complaints. The location is excellent and one of the best Guanajuato restaurants, Mestizo, is about half a block away. If you pay cash for your room, there's a discount. Our room overlooked the interior patio and we would... More

Hotel Antiguo Vapor was lovely in so many ways. The location is exceptional, right at the confluence of innumerable hidden plazas filled with a variety of restaurants and a block from the Alhondiga and Museo Casa Diego Rivera. The continental breakfasts were substantial, and you can order from the menu if you want something hot. The service is gracious, and... More

We regret that you have not had a pleasant stay even though he helped all that apply, was given extra quilts for better comfort with the bed, you room change as you request and will accommodate in a room that you chose and saw previously. As for hot water, do that a few minutes before applying it as due to... More

This hotel is just wonderful. The location is perfect, close enough to everything in the beautiful town of Guana Juato. Staff were so helpful, car park was brilliant, rooms were stunning and the views over the town were out of this world. Highly recommend. We wish we could have stayed longer. Only minor gripe was my brother and his wife... More

This hotel multilevel hotel is decorated beautifully with tile and art everywhere. The hotel itself, though small, is fun to explore, with "secret" winding staircases and unexpected views from open-air passages. It also has a great view from a patio/parking lot. It is located right in old Guanajuato, so you'll really get the feel of the historic town and be... More

The Antiguo Vapor is a beautiful, interesting hotel close to everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, for the price, more than $150 US per night (in July) it should do a few things much better. First, the website does a poor job of both describing and showing pictures of the rooms. It was very hard to decide... More

Great service, super super clean and new, well looked after, great location and parking. We even got a baby bed, lovely place. Some rooms have great views, you will enjoy it, and right in the center of town.

We stayed three nights in the Tortolas room, accent on the first syllable please. The view of Guanajuato is quite breath taking when you first enter the room. The room is nice although it only has one queen sized bed. The bathroom is nice too but hot water takes a while to arrive. Housekeeping standards are high, staff friendly and... More
