We booked two rooms and found the hotel to be quite charming and colorful. The rooms were clean but the bathroom for one was not part of the room and the other room had a bathroom that was not entirely private. However, the bathrooms were modern and clean. If you're tall get a bed without a foot board as the... More

We spent two nights in one of El Zopilote Mojado's apartments. It was a sweet place, a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town, but wonderfully quiet. The apartment was very clean and came with a small, but well-equipped kitchen. The staff at El Zopilote were extremely friendly and helpful.

Hotel is on a pedestrian walkway and small plaza, 1 to 3 blocks, from the main plaza/park, 2 theaters, 3 churches, Don Quixote museum, and many cafe's and restaurants. You have to walk up at least one block up medium hill to hotel for check-in. We stayed in separate apartment from hotel that had living room, bed room, bathroom, dining... More

We loved everything about this hotel. Quiet, comfortable, beautiful furnishings, helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast (separate charge), reasonable price. If you arrive by bus, you'll need to take a taxi or city bus to the center of Guantajuato. Our taxi driver didn't know where Mexiamora Square is. The closest familiar drop-off point is the Teatro Principal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Zopilote Mojado in late December. We stayed a total of four nights in one of the rooms at the top of the building and, as a result enjoyed a great view of the city. Our friends stayed in one of the apartments, which was equally nice, though with not as much of a... More

It was a little slice of heaven to stay in El Zopilote Mojado during our three-day stay in Guanajuato. The hotel is located behind the Teatro Principal, up some steps and across the Plaza Mexiamora, within easy walking distance of all the attractions in the centro histórico. We stayed in the Los Embajadores room in the Perros Muertos building, a... More

I didn't sleep here but passed by a few times because I really loved this place (in 1,5 day I stopped 3 times here). The atmosphere was nice and calm and ordental. I loved the tranquil music. There coffee and juices are lo-ve-ly and quite cheap and the breakfast was good as well! It lies not far from the center... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Zopilote Mojado. It's not the cheapest place to stay, but we went for the Cervantino and the Zopilote Mojado kept their normal prices while most places raised their price. The location is fantastic and there's a great view from the terrace. The hotel has an eclectic / artsy / homey feel. Check the... More

These properties offer a hotel, apartments and a restaurant in different locations all around the Plaza Meximora, a central plaza in Guanajuato. We hosted a reception at the restaurant for faculty from the University of Guanajuato and the antojitos (appetizers) and service were excellent. The rooms are emaculate, colorful and with lovely decorations for a most reasonable price. You will... More

With a name like that, I knew right away I'd love it. I booked for one week and ended up staying almost two, in their second building on Callejon Perros Muertos (dead dogs lane), which is just across the pedestrian plaza from the main building and up a lane at the end. I understand they also have apartments in a... More
