This is a historic hotel with beautiful common spaces right off one of the most beautiful squares in all of Mexico. Even if you're not staying here it is worth a visit to the lobby to see the antique tiles and wrought iron. However, the rooms themselves are poorly decorated and are not up to par with the rest of... More

this historic hotel is quite lovely and meets up to its name. the rooms are quant, some are roomy & some are small. rooms are clean, there is no AC. but you can ask for a stand-up fan. there are some stairs and there is "no elevator" that i saw. the staff is friendly and polite, it is centralized for... This hotel is quintessential colonial Mexico, complete with antique furnishings, paintings and tile accents. Very inviting reception with polite and accommodating staff. We stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. What a perfect location! An easy walk to the Theatro, churches, small cafes, shops and restaurants. Built-in entertainment with the cafe seating out front, offering continual... More

Although it can be hard to reach due to the narrow streets and tunnels of Guanajuato, once you get there you won't regret your choice! This hotel is an old house located just a few steps away from Teatro Juarez (the heart of Guanajuato). The rooms are spacious, but a little dark. I went there with my parents and we... More

Our week-long stay in Guanajuato began at a timeshare on the northern outskirts of town. However, we spent the days and evenings at little cafes around the beautiful Jardin Union enjoying the sidewalk bistros and side street cafes with live music in the evening. And the Jardin itself, I never thought Ficus Benjaminas could get so damn big! Just beautiful!!... More

The hotel was very charming old colonial and the staff was very friendly & helpful. You expect to see Zorro (yes, the Disney TV show) because of the style of the hotel. It also added to the Zorro effect that Guanajuato has tunnels under the town. Wonderful location by the square with street-side tables by the plaza (no cars) as... More

Located on the Jardin Union, and across the plaza from Teatro Juarez, this hotel is well located near important cultural centers and great restaurants. The hotel has been substantially renovated since our last visit nearly ten years ago, and is now a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price while retaining its colonial charm.

Great location, friendly staff, super clean laundry were all pluses. On the negative side our room was not conducive to getting a good night's sleep as it had only a small window in the shower room & nothing in the main bedroom. We spent three nights with different coping strategies - open toilet door and get noise but fresh air,... More

We choose this hotel because my knee was having problem. Its location right on the most active square with free parking sounded great and it was for the first day. However, if you want to take your car out of their parking garage you probably will not be allowed to return and park the car there. In fact, their policy... More

We have stay there twice in 9 years, I will continue to go back this wonderful hotel that provides great service for us. All the employees are very attentive and very professional. They bend over backwards to make your stay wonderful. The restuarant service is fast and the food is delicious. Great location as a hub around town for visitors,... More
