This hotel is located a 15 minute walk to the center. You can take the bus in front of the hotel (1 Euro) or you can order a cab (5/6 euro) to the center. We had the presidential suite here, spacious, clean and quiet. The restaurant is a simple one, the pool is bit small. But a nice atmossphere. I... more

On a car tour of the historic Bajio cities we decided to stay here in view of its 5 star status - what a mistake! The promised laundry service did not materialise and the restaurant was a joke. This hotel and its staff need a complete makeover - easily the worst hotel we found in Mexico. The tourist authorities of... more

My family (myself, wife, and two young children) stayed in this hotel for five nights this past August. The room was nice and spacious, quiet, private, and with a nice view. Our kids loved the pool, which also had a little kiddie pool area for non-swimmers. As mentioned in other reviews it is a bit of a walk to the... more

Being a bit further out of town there is room for the hotel to have parking and a pool, however the walk is a good 20 minutes into the centre of town. The walk was pleasant enough, and quite manageable for anyone with some minimal fitness. We all managed the hills, even the two kids (9 and 11). It also... more

Based on reviews from this site, we booked 2 nights at this property, and enjoyed our stay (July 18-20, 2007). We thought we would need air-conditioning, but found the weather to be pleasant during the day, and a little cool in the evenings. This hotel is basic in some ways, but very nice in others. There is a lively family... more

The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the main historic part of the city. Because of this it is much quieter than hotels in the center. It is next to a pleasant park with lots of interesting activity going on, and the walk is also pleasant. The rooms are large and attractive, but very dark, with no comfortable... more

We accompanied friends staying here for an international conference so all was preorganised for us. The reception staff seemed to be under constant stress because it was very busy and they looked mad but did their job well enough. Our room was of a good size and the beds rock hard which is exactly how I want them but others... more

We chose this hotel because it has a pool (we have got small kids) and parking. Sure enough, the parking was fine and the outdoor pool looked ok (in the end, we never used it as it was too cold). However, there was not much else that I liked about this place. The hallways and rooms were very poorly lit... more

After giving some consideration to most hotels in Guanajuato, we decided to go for this one...we were so surprised! The hotel is gorgeous! It looks just like an authentic colonial mansion, but still keeps a modern feel in services and attention. The price was very low too (we recommend booking with them directly, they'll give you a good deal...we got... more

After fretting over the reviews of the centrally located hotels, I luckily read minzin's description of this wonderful place, and would like to thank him for writing it. For around $93 dollars a night, it is an incredible value (althought there is no buffet). This is a first class hotel in every respect. The rooms are huge, almost a suite... more
