Dirty bathroom, no hot water, unsecure room that couldn't be locked and led the maid to invade the room while we were sleeping. Poor and greasy breakfast. Unpolite staff that mocked on us when we asked for help. Not to mention the awful stairways. And it's expensive comparing to much better options in Guanajuato! We don't have a single good... More

Love it!!!!! Wonderful hotel, spectacular view, great location, and amazing service from the whole staff. Highly recommended.Walking distance to the Teatro Juarez, and the plaza where all the action takes place (music, restaurants, stores and where the famous callejonadas start). We couldn't ask for a better location to stay.

We stayed in the room called trufa. The view from the private terrace was incredible. The staff was very friendly and a few spoke some English. Those who did not were very patient with my Spanish. The steps leading from street level to this hotel were a challenge but each time it got easier. Noises from outside including mariachi bands... More

And excellent service to match! Staff goes out of their way to make you welcome and your stay memorable. The views are more than worth the 5 minute exercise to get there and if you request ahead, a bellperson will gladly carry your bags up. It is a beautiful hill climb to find this bird's perch on the side of... More

Guanajuato is and amazing place but to get to the hotel was a nightmare! Parking is on the other side of town! Had to go and come back walking. The hotel has the most amazing view but beware, you have to climb stairs to get to it and to do so with your luggage. The rooms were clean but nothing... More

Several rooms have terraces that overlook Guanajuato. No room numbers, just seven rooms named after different chocolates. I stayed two nights in Trufa, with a nice terrace overlooking Templo San Diego, Jardin de la Union, and the historic center of Guanajuato. Just a few more meters above is the monument El Pipila. I stayed during the off-season and was able... More

This hotel attracted us because of the reviews we read about the view and it's really true, from our room which had the private balcony but also from the communal terrace, the view over the city was amazing. As for the rest, the staff was nice and the rooms lovely and clean, and the complimentary breakfast was very nice. Lastly,... More

This is one of the best deals in GTO!..The view at night alone is worth every penny. Included in the price of the room is the trip up and back on the sidecar that travels up the side of the hill.....an experience like no other in town. Strongly recommend this hotel!!!
