El Meson de Los Poetas was very satisfactory. My room was spacious and full of light. The bed was comfortable, and the showers got very hot. Upon arrival, I was quickly whisked upstairs by the bellman and the whole entry could not have been easier. Throughout my stay, the staff were courteous and friendly. Also, the hotel is probabl in... This place is simply amazing, it's antique structure and deco give something magic to the atmosphere. Is in downtown, walking distance you can find the best historic and cultural places. The staff is really nice and the breakfast is very good. I totally recommend this hotel for everybody, couples, families, groups, you name it. Comfy rooms, I felt like home,... More

We stayed here three nights and loved the atmosphere. - despite all the steps! The room was comfortable and very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location perfect. The only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was that it was noisy at night. But definitely a great place to stay. I highly recommend it to anyone... More

This is our third time in this hotel. It has turned a little expensive but still is an excellent option in Guanajuato. Its location is excellent and the building itself is lovely and decorated with charm for someone like me who is fond of poetry. There is no private parking but the staff is always willing to help guests to... More

El Meson de lots Poetas is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. I have stayed in a lot big chain hotels however none of them can compare the atmosphere in this hotel. I had a basic room on the third floor. The hotel itself is an old building full of history. The paintings, stairs, and brick... More

Descent place near everything, parking is a pain in this town if you are driving. The hotel has a parking lot about half a mile away, don't use it it's a better option to leave right in front of the hotel, there are security guards who will keep it safe for about $10 bucks a night and most of the... The hotel is located convenient to the center town and reasonably priced so good place to stay to visit the town. The room was clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The included in price breakfast was very good. Because of the hilly nature of downtown the hotel has many different levels but no elevator. Steep stairs to climb. The... More

Others have noted the rather eccentric character of this hotel which I liked a lot. There are lots of stairs - we got used to walking up and down to our room on the 3rd floor and also liked going up to the pleasant roof top patio on the 5th floor. Our room (the Pedro Garfias room) had 2 double... More

Stayed here 2 weeks ago and it was my first time in Guanajuato. The hotel was everything I expected and more. Thanks to TripAdvisor nothing surprised me and I got what I paid for and even more. The pictures on Tripadvisor does not do it justice, I found the hotel even more beautiful than what I saw in the pictures.... More

Overall: Great for Couples, Families, and Solo Travelers. Prices are very reasonable, Hotel is very eccentric, and the location is fantastic. Not for the faint of heart! Travelers with weak knees, pace makers and worn out sneakers need not check in. Hotel has a great deal of stairs and hallways to maneuver and there is no elevator to assist. Hotel... More
