good little central hotel, near everything, with great breakfast. Unfortunately no elevator and there is a lot of climbing to get to the rooms so don't come here if you have difficulties climbing. We asked for ground floor and got forth floor. No ice machine and no fridge.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Great hotel, and reasonably priced (with breakfast included). Stay on the top floor (room 403 I think), which felt like a cabana on the room. Large rooms, with nice flatscreen TV and A/C. If you have issues walking a lot of stairs, not recommended. Also, they will charge for 1 night at check-in if you... More

Very clean and comfortable hotel, with friendly staff. Just a short walk to most of the major sites in Guanajuato, the location is excellent. I don't recall any noise problems that other reviewers mentioned. The coffee shop right next door makes an excellent espresso!

Hotel was about 5 blocks from main square once we got our bearings in the city. Excellent service from staff. All very helpful and willing to attend to our needs. Breakfast was not included in our rate (surprise!) but could have been for $120 pesos. Since we are mostly vegan, this was not a choice for us. We ate quite... More

This is a hotel of quite some charm, with each room named after a particular poet, whilst various knick knacks, murals, and paintings adorn the walls throughout. Some might call it quirky but the overall effect was warm and inviting. The room was quite spacious, containing one double and one single bed with ample room for desk, chairs and kitchenette.... Guanajuato is a town built into a series of steep hills with tunnels burrowing through and under for access from one part to another, a veritable warren. Streets are narrow so arriving by car at Meson de los Poetas is a mini-nightmare because as soon as you stop you are blocking the road - fortunately the staff are geared up... More

We stayed on the 3rd floor where all the mini suits are. It has a lot of stairs so make sure you have comfortable shoes. If you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. You can hear when people claiming tha stairs and people talking on the street The hotel staff are very friendly and give us... More

since the reservation, it was very easy to get in touch and clear all things with the staff. The place is very well located, a few steps from The main sightseeings. Beware, if you go by car, you won't have parking lot so close. The hotel has a vallet parking, it's not cheap, but you thats how it is. All... More

The hotel has a very good location, very close to the main square, there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel is in an old building, the decoration is very nice, the only issue would be that you will have to go upstairs to get to your room, since there is not an elevator

This hotel is centrally located and so you can easily walk to all in-town attractions. It is an old hotel with a lot of character -- very Mexican in style. The rooms are a good size, nicely decorated and clean. The mattresses are firm. The shower has very low water pressure, but an endless supply of hot water. I did... More
