The pluses are true but in our case they were very sleazy in refusing to issue a refund for one night that we had cancelled, by directly calling them within the time limit. Fortunately, hotels.com came through with a partial refund.

Stayed for only 1 night - how unfortunate for us because this place in a small town in the middle of nowhere was Amazing!!! Easily my favorite hotel from this trip (we also went to Guadalajara & Puerto Vallarta) We stayed at the "de la buenaventura" room which was huge! 2 floors with 3 big beds, a dining table &... More

We went for Holy Week and the city was packed. One of the things I enjoyed most about the hotel is that even though outside was a mob inside it felt like you were away from it all.. The hotel is right in the center so the location is excellent. The rooms are nice decorated and clean. They come with... More

Very well located in the Historic Center of Guanajuato. Walking distance to the main square, theater and main restaurants. Spacious. Just make sure you are away from the lobby, as the noise can be a bit loud.

We stayed here with my grand daughter. The suite was spacious and had a loft with two beds which gave her some privacy. The room was clean and bright and the beds were very comfortable. The only negative was the bathroom was quite small, although the water pressure was excellent and the water hot. The location was excellent and it... More

The hotel is a gem, the location could not be better. Service was impeccable. Our triple room was perfect for our needs, the Angel de la Guardia, tasteful decorated, comfortable beds. A delicious full breakfast was included. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to all the helpful staff!

My family of 3 stayed in a room with 2 double beds over Valentine's weekend. It was one of the rooms that was triangular shaped with a small window opening towards the back street. The city was crazy busy on Valentine's. The disco on the back street had a big party, but as a moderate sleeper, it did not bother... More

Beautiful hotel in one of the most beautiful towns in Mexico. This is a colonial housed nicely remodeled with huge rooms, beautiful decoration, comfortable beds, bathroom towards the small size but within your fantastic room you simple forget about it. Rooms have a balcony to the main plaza, and the whole environment of the hotel is just wonderful. Location couldn't... More

This hotel ideally located in the historic center of Guanajuato. Being familiar with the sometimes noisy street activities of Guanajuato I had requested and was given a room in the back which turned out to be very quiet. The included breakfast was surprising good with fresh fruit, eggs, fresh bread and juice. I would definitely stay here again.

The town of Guanajuato is really lovely. Just busy enough to be almost bustling, but not too busy to stifle you. Climate great too. The hotel itself has been crafted from an old courtyard and surrounding rooms. Our duplex room on the second floor looked over the very pleasant Paz square. The room was fantastic for a family of 4.... More
