We've stayed in Guanajuato many times...so far this has been the best hotel! It is modern and away from all the noise, but yet close to most attractions...loved it! Breakfast was great and at night we would walk to an Oxxo store or that is just across from the hotel..ohh and it has a parking lot!

This hotel sits in what looks like a strip mall outside of the downtown area. While it is kind of far, the rooms are worth the distance. The strip mall location makes it look like it won't be nice, but don't be fooled. They have Wi-Fi, AC, a fridge and a safe! In the strip mall is a Soriana, which... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel, the staff is really nice and helpful, it has a good hotel restaurant in case u dont feel like going outside the hotel is located outside of guanajuato downtown (pros and cons) getting downtown is easy,, just take a bus for 5 pesos,, the bus stop is right in front... It was a little out of the way, but less than 10 minutes from downtown, driving. Quite a walk, though. But quiet and peaceful at night. Very clean, very comfortable, reasonably priced. The restaurant, perhaps, lacks experience and organization, they were overwhelmed when a large party of tourists stayed for dinner. But I will recommend it, for a comfortable stay.

I am writing to review the restaurant of this hotel, since I did not find it listed separately on TripAdvisor. I had dinner with a friend, I started with a nice chile soup and then had a salmon steak, good although it was slightly overcooked (having asked to have it rare). We had a fine bottle of Mexican wine (expensive,... More

Rooms are spacious and overall quality of facilities is good. Rooms include air conditioner with heating mode (rare in Mexico...). On the bad side, you need a car or take a taxi each time you leave or return to the hotel. There is no breakfast included and the bathroom`s door was stacked.

The rooms were nice and clean, staff was friendly. It was a little far away from downtown so we had to catch a taxi every time. We were two couples, both of us had problems with the remote control batteries, and when you flashed the toilet some sewage smell was over the room. We got a very good deal, about... More

My room was spacious and clean. I had a "junior" suite with a kitchenette that had a couch and table and chair. The bedroom was good sized with a balcony and hammock. The hotel is located in a small shopping plaza. There is a supermarket across the parking lot. The biggest problem was with the shower. Hot water was only... More

My husband and I chose Mexico Plaza as the hotel for us and our family to stay for our wedding. I had previously stayed here and enjoyed it, and it worked well since it was close to our wedding venues (La Valenciana and La Bocamina). They were very helpful for accommodating our guests and transporting them to and from the... More

We stayed at Spa Mexico Plaza during the Cervantino Festival. It was on the outskirts of town, but only a 5-10 min taxi ride which only cost about $3/trip. This was actually a good thing because at night we were away from all the noise. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot, lots of room, had mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave,... More
