We stayed in the Rana, or Frog room, for 2 nights. As we had no mobile phone with us, and were travelling by bus, we could not give them an arrival time, so had to find the place ourselves. We used the map provided and found it without too much bother. The steps are steep though, especially with 2 heavy... More

I've traveled to over 45 countries. Had insane views in Positano, Taj Mahal view in India, San Sebastian in Spain....if you stay in the " frog " room in this hotel, your jaw will drop. Guanajuato itself is a real colonial gem ( hands down, my favorite city in Mexico). First, you walk through gorgeous colonial streets from the back... More

What a delightful experience -- and - The journey is part of the experience. Yes -- steep steps but worth the effort. Centrally located for convenience to Jardin Union, Teatro Juarez, and the bustle of El Centro, Guanajuato. Very possibly, the best vistas in the city. Guests may enjoy the spacious upstairs patio, yet the views of the city from... More

This hotel may be nice, but beware of their cancellation policy, which varies from site to site and isn't obvious on some. We booked a week's stay through Booking.com, and was charged. (Nearly $800) When we arrived at the US airport to fly to Guanajuato, we learned that our flight and 100's of others were cancelled due to tornados in... More

Yes, this B&B is a ways up the hillside; at least 100 steps, some very steep ones. One trip, thank goodness, you only have to do once with a suitcase. Location is close to center and Teatro. Views are great sunrise and sunset. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom has separate toilet area. The cupboard, where hairdryer was... More

The location for one wanting to be in El Centro is great...up an alley behind the Teatro Juarez. Call and they will send a hosueman down to carry your bags and show you the way. Without him you won't find it. Beautiful interiors and great view of the city. Excellent staff. Good WIFI and TV and cable. They could nto... More

The Casa Dionisio is a gem of a B&B in Guanajuato. Perched on a hillside over the very heart of the city, each room has an amazing view, and it was lovely in the evenings to sit on the private balcony and listen to the sounds of the city nightlife below. The hotel can arrange private parking for those who... More

Our short, very worthwhile stay in this fully-restored b&b was a delight from the moment that we were met at our taxi drop off to the moment of departure for an early morning flight when accommodation was made for an early breakfast. Our rooms provided us with excellent views, very comfortable beds and excellent sliding doors to private balcony. The... More

I travelled to Guanajuato from Mexico city for 2 days, with friends. We had 2 rooms in the hotel, both lovely. The location is high enough to have an amazing view, whilst not being too many steps up- we got a bit scared reading review of some other places, they sounded a lot like hard work! The decor is maybe... More
