One year ago I stayed in this hotel and to tell the truth the only thing I liked was the gardens surrounding it, somehow this year I was booked again in this hotel I am amazed with the changes that have been accomplished, the rooms look much nicer and refreshed, the gardens still beautiful, cost-value just fine. I will gladly... more

Maybe the noisiest hotel I've been. People have no longer the education to keep the noise down while in the corridors of any hotel, but in this one, the echo is really loud. The floor is made of irregular tiles and while screaming, shouting, telling jokes and just being plain loud, people drag their sutcases and the noise is quadrupled,... more

This hotel has major issues. While on our way to our room, we noticed a dish with leftover food sitting outside a guest room that was never picked up during our stay and it had many ants crawling all over it. Once we arrived to our room, we realized the TV did not work and it never did. Also, we... more

We stayed in this hotel on February the 2nd. I was quite disappointed with the service. When I was booking hotel i was told that in my reservation the brekfast was included but on the spot I was told that is not. The service was very slow, I had to wait half an hour for the coffee even though the... more

Let me start with the positive. The hotel has beautiful construction with a nice garden across which you can visit. But everything else was negative including the service. When you arrive, you have to bring your own luggage (there was no bell boy to assist) down a steep, rocky incline to the front desk which handed me my keys to... more

I stayed at this hotel on Jan 3rd. While the building is nice and it looks like an old hacienda the service and amenities were terrible. The room was freezing and the heater provided was useless and it did not work. The balcony door had no lock and they told us to prop it close with a stick. there was... more

This was the only hotel we could find that was available at the last minute. Once we got there, we discovered why it had last minute availability. There was no heating or air conditioning in our room. The lighting in the room was poor. There was no bathtub. The shower temp was tepid even with the cold water off and... more

Although the rooms and setting are charming, I must highlight the problem with their in-house travel agent, which "forgot" to pick me up although I arrived 5 minutes before than scheduled time, and never bothered to reply to my requests for assistance while I was waiting for him to come back - with the assurance from hotel staff that he... more

I must say I was underwhelmed by Mision Guanajuato. Access and accessibility of the are terrible. You have to carry your luggage through stairs and a small walk before you even get to the first bellhop (not consistent with a 4-5 star hotel). The hotel is old and although the colonial construction is nice, it also makes it difficult to... more

Rooms large enough but below average for the price (by mexican standards), not that welcoming and rooms smell musty. Because of the freaky roads in Guanajuato, it's virtually impossible to walk in to the centre. They do have a free bus to town every so often, but not coming back. On the plus side, there is a lovely hacienda and... more
