Guanajuato is one of the loveliest places I have ever visited (and I have seen some of the world) - you have to visit and stay in Casa Estrella. Such a warm and cozy hotel. Everybody of the team takes care of you. It is like coming home. If you need a taxi, a guide or even a donkey, they... More

We enjoyed our recent stay in Casa Estrella. Communicating with Sharon for reservations was easy and her friendly manner made it comfortable to ask many questions. Sharon also suggested a couple of day trips that we participated in and really enjoyed. We had a friendly welcome by Javier and delicious homemade breakfasts each morning on a beautiful terrace. Our room... More

Wonderful compound and precious area. The rooms are amazing: very tidy and clean and luxurious. Great view over Guanajuato from the rooms. Also a modes pool at the compound to relax. Great breakfast service, fresh cooked every day and superb home made granola. The staff is precious, very ready to help and everything can be taken care of. It has... More

We have been doing a 21 day tour of Mexico, and have stayed at several hotels. Casa Estrella de la Valenciana was definitely our favorite! We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cannot say enough praise about Javier, Angelica, Antonio and Corni! Our stay was safe, comfortable, friendly and really an extension of home away from home with all... More

We stayed at the Casa Estrella for 11 nights as a "base" to visit Guanajuato as well as other neighboring towns/cities during our vacation. Even though it a short taxi ride ($4-5 USD each way) to get into the Centro, the accommodations were very much worth the mild inconvenience. Our room was the San Bernades--beautiful, CLEAN and loads of room... More

My parents and I travelled the short bus ride from San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato for a three-day getaway together. I am already a huge fan of San Miguel and the area, but this was a very happy and special time. The staff are so warm and welcoming... you feel as though you are guest in their home. The... More

Recently returned last week from a great stay at this beautiful inn. The property is just lovely, as it appears in the pictures, and the views are amazing, especially from the outdoor breakfast table. We were taken great care of by the staff, who were all friendly and helpful, and the breakfast ladies are great cooks! The only slight concern we... More

We just returned from a delightful week at Casa Estrella. It far exceeded our expectations -- nothing was too much for Sharon the owner: My wife needed meds on the first night so she sent a taxi to pick them up -- and refused to charge us! Our bags got lost en route and Sharon diligently followed up and tracked... More

As a travel advisor, I am constantly in search of charming, off the beaten path Inns and small hotels that have local character and outstanding service that I can offer to my clients when designing a trip. Casa Estrella de la Valenciana is just such a place. Owner Sharon has done a great job in decorating the Inn with Mexican... More
