When i heard "hosteleria" i thought we were gonna struggle with the facilities but when we arrived there i was stunned!! the whole experience was amazing, great rooms, great service and its so close to the whole bars & clubs area! For sure, everytime i go to Guanajuato I'll stay there!

Arriving from the bus station by taxi through the tunnels, you will be dropped at the rear of the theatre. Walk up the side & turn right onto the pedestrinised street, passing in front of Theatre Juarez - the hotel is a little over 100m away. This historic hosteria with thick adobe walls has only the reception on the ground... More

I would try to do a fair evaluation. Despite the excellent location of the hotel, and that the rooms are clean, big and beautiful (just very dark as not all of them have windows), I have to say that if you want to sleep, FORGET about it! It is located just in front of a couple of pubs and it... More

I've spent two nights at this hotel so far with one more to go. The room is OK, the beds are comfortable, there is cable TV with an acceptable assortment of channels and the staff are polite. Location is one of the hotel's main strengths, as it is only a few steps from "Teatro Juárez", and the best restaurants in... More

Walked in without a reservation (was not high season, mind you) and I got a huge room facing the main pedestrian street in front. Felt like I was staying in a historic monastery or something, very unique place. Facing the street did result in a fair bit of noise but being a rainy winter off-season couple of days, there wasn't... More

I must give Senor No credit for changing our small, dark interior room for a larger one at the top of the hotel. It had a balcony opening on to an interior courtyard which was an adequate source of daylight in an otherwise dark room. The housekeeping staff was great except they couldn't make up the room any other way... More

It is a clean OLD hotel with different rooms sizes. We stayed at the 113 (2nd floor) and it was clean but old and small. The hot water took 10 minutes to get to the shower, besides the waste, it is not comfortable to wait that much to take a shower. Stay here if you want to spend all day... More

My husband & I pulled in on our motorcycle, we were hot and tired, the hotel could not have been more helpful. The cost, 700 pesos, was more than we wanted to pay but the location was perfect. As with alot of the older hotels in Mexico, getting to the rooms can be a bit of maze and lots of... More

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights, the room was shabby the carpet filthy. The bathroom was tiny with poor water flow. The noise from bars including a karaoke bar directly opposite the hotel was terrible and went on till 4am.If you have an interior facing room the bar noise is bad plus you can hear people coming and going and... We decamped from the Posada Santa Fe to this place in search of something not so over priced or noisy. This was it. It's in a great location, just down the street from a main square and the beautiful theatre. It was nothing super flash, but suited us fine. We had a tour around the place since there were few...
