I stayed here for 3 nights. My room the first night was on the third floor and was a small room (I had to climb over the bed to get to the dresser). Fortunately for the remaining nights, I had a suite on the second floor. Large king size bed. I didn't use the sitting room, though. Hotel is almost... More

I stayed here for a week on the recommendation of a friend, after checking out of a hotel in the 'burbs. Other than its location and friendly front desk staff, this hotel doesn't have much going for it. Strange, dark rooms, shabby, worn furniture. But the price was, I thought, fair, and the location was great.

We chose to stay here because of its central location. While its instalations are adecuate, there was a really strong smell permeating from the sink and shower hole. I spoke to some other guests and they had the same problem. It is obviously nothing knew as there were various air fresheners scattered around the room. As we had a room... More

You pay for the location. Everything else is mediocre at best. The building is interesting, but the rooms are a crap-shoot. I lucked out at a private one with a window in the back, so it was quiet. The city wins though, it's so magical, I didn't really care.

I stayed here for one night July 2014. The location is excellent, but it's not worth the $. I paid $75 for a room that was more like a true "hostel" room- more like $30 a night. The hotel is billed as historic, but it's really not that interesting. I think I could have walked 2 blocks and found something... More

We were two families traveling together, the location is great, very near the central plaza and just around the corner from Teatro Juárez. It has small areas like living rooms so we enjoyed being outside the room and chat or play for a while. There are many stairs so be careful if you are not used to it. Rooms can... More

We chose this hotel at the last minute due to there being so many others full. We paid more for this hotel that the previous ones due to this problem. First off we HAD to show a confirmation. I literally had to hop on the wifi of the hotel (also horrible) and email it to the receptionist just to prove... More

Interesting enough we had room 112! Visitors were very rude, yelling at all times. There should be a quiet time regardless of the time you go to bed. But the most aggravating thing was the rags that we were given as towels! Literally, they had holes and shreds as hems. I would not have those towels in my house and... More

Being close to all the action is a big plus for this hotel. We had a room with a small balcony which was nice, allowing lots of light into an otherwise somewhat dark room. The room was large enough, and quiet at night with the balcony doors closed. With tile being pervasive in Mexico, one would think a tile floor... More

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, the kind of old world beauty that makes you want to spend an extra day or two there. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The room was big and spacious for a double queen room. Our room had a unique brick wall ceiling. The bathroom was well stocked with toileteries, towels. My only... More
