We spent four days in this beautiful city and were very impressed with this house. We had the top unit which opened onto a full terrace. The view is phenomenal of the city , especially at night. The unit has a large living room with microwave and toaster. Breakfast was all we wanted to prepare. The bedroom is large with... More

I met up with my son and his girlfriend, who were travelling through Mexico on an extended trip, camping and backpacking. They discovered Guanajuato and decided to stay for a few weeks. They also discovered Carl and Millie (Carl's devoted dog), the innkeepers of House in Guanajuato, After getting a tour of the place, they knew it would be perfect... More

We've stayed at "the house in guanajuato" numerous times in the past few years. As far as value goes, you can't beat the location, comfort, and privacy offered by this establishment. If you're a Gringo, and it's the first time in Guanajuato....chances are, you're going to get turned around, since the town is NOT on a grid/linear system. That's where... More

We arrived in Guanajuato after 15+ hours flying so were very glad to get into the Master Suite and have a few hours of sleep before joining Carl for a 2 hour walk around the downtown area. We found Carl informative, most agreeable and unfailingly helpful. We have done a lot of travel, but hadn't been in Mexico for at... More

This is a mixed review, some very positive points and some definite room for improvement. First the positives; the location is quite good for walking to everything, without being too noisy. Carl was very kind to show us around Guanajuato after we arrived. This orientation certainly was helpful. The room was quite adequate, the king bed was split into 2... More

The House in Guanajuato has two terrific advantages: location (a few steps to everything in the center of town, yet not overly loud), and Carlos the Innkeeper, who is an absolute delight. We stayed in the Don Quijote apartment, which was comfortable, although the bed was a double rather than a king as advertised, and the ventilation system means that... More

This is a newly remodeled hacienda in town and just a few blocks from the wonderful Plaza Jardin. Unlike many places in Guanajuato it is only up a short flight of steps from the street. We had the lovely suite upstairs with views in all directions and a lovely outside patio at our disposal. The living room, bedroom and bathroom... More
