Stayed at this Guest house for my first trip to Mexico- James is a great host, and able to assist you with anything you may need while touring this area. Guadlajara is a large city, The people are very friendly and one does not need to be bilingual. The area where Jame has this guest house is very safe 24/7,... More

Staying at the Dickinson House was nothing like staying in a hotel. Hotels provide a room and a few amenities, but staying at Dickinson's was like staying with a friend. It is a beautiful house, and I was given a lovely, large bedroom. The owner, Jim Dickinson, was helpful cordial and quite the friendly host. Had it not been for... More

My husband and I stayed at Jim's lovely guesthouse for a week and enjoyed every moment of it. It is a cozy, comfortable home and we always felt welcome returning from our many excursions in and around Guadalajara. Jim goes out of his way in many ways to ensure that his guests are well taken care of. I arrived alone... More

I recently spent the month of January at this lovely guest house. I had a great experience despite the fact that my sister and travelling companion had to cut her holiday short after 10 days. My charming host, James, went to great lengths to ensure both my enjoyment and safety. He provided great advice when I needed it without being... More

A very nice house with very comfortable beds, kitchen/washer access in a very pleasant upscale neighborhood. A quick taxi ride to El Centro or a nice walk to a major shopping center, park and other conveniences. Jim is an excellent innkeeper, giving good advice, a clean, homey atmosphere and excellent value for the $$$. I'd stay there again!

I recently was in Guadalajara, Mexico for a consultation and a nice vacation before the cold really hit in the U.S. By word of mouth I heard about a small Guest House in a wonderful location for the things I needed to do. I thought that I was far from the central district with all of its history, but found... More

My reservations at the Dickinson guest house was a blessing. Jim open his home and heart to me . The hospitality was unimaginable. During my stay Jim went out his way to provide "Nurse Duties" I had surgery during my visit and was alone. The Dickinson house provided me with unlimited Internet and free international telephone services, which, I called... More

Anyone looking for a great, affordable, and comfortable place to stay, should look into staying at the Dickinson House. My husband and I were there for surgery for a week and our stay was really good. Jim was very helpful from the time we got there, until we left. The internet service and US phone service he has was great,... More

We stayed here 10 days 9 nights and had a great experience. Very comfortable American style beds. If you've ever slept on one of those rock hard Mexican beds you will appreciate this. Jim is an excellent host and some how anticipated what we like to eat for breakfast and always had plenty for us. There was a washer and... More
