My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hacienda La Magdalena and it is mostly because of the care and attention to detail of the owner, Mr. Roberto Chavez. He made us feel like family that was visiting and could not do enough to accomodate our every need or inquiry. The hacienda is a little bit of paradise on the outskirts of Guadalajara. Although the ride from the airport can be a bit daunting once you enter the gates, it is an entirely peaceful world of gardens, ducks, flowers, peacocks and ponds. The room was clean and large enough to stow all our luggage and clothing. The bathroom was clean and roomy with wonderful windows that let in quite a bit of light off our own little courtyard. It would be hard to mention anything that needs improving but perhaps a little more greenery in the courtyard considering there is an abundance everywhere else. They take measures so you will not have mosquitos in your room, but bring spray because anywhere outside in Mexico I was eaten... more
