We are privileged to be among the 1st guests to have stayed at La Perla shortly after they opened over 10 years ago. At that time we were starting a quest to find our ultimate retirement location and Guadalajara was high on the list. We became instant friends with Lars and Christopher, the two owners of La Perla and over... More

Just spent four nights at La Perla. Lars/Lorenzo and all the staff were amazing. Above and beyond when it comes to customer service: guided walks of the neighborhood, local attractions, dining recommendations and reservations--I felt like I was staying with relatives. The house itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. If you are thinking of going... More

We just returned from a fantastic, restful, and warm visit to La Perla Boutique Bed & Breakfast. We felt at home in the large, well-appointed suite with attentive and helpful staff. The tours of Guadalajara were personalized and interesting. We now consider La Perla our home away from home when we visit Guadalajara. If you are looking for a restful,... More

My partner and I have been traveling through parts of Mexico that neither of us have been to. I found La Perla through Trip Advisor and after reading many positive reviews I went ahead and contacted the owner, Lorenzo, through email, and booked our two-room guest room for our stay. We took the bus from Sayulita to Zapopan and then... More

We always appreciate when guests make reservations directly through our website. Thank you for being one of them. We are then able to give more personal attention in advance of arriving. As you mentioned, we do not advertise with signage on the outside of La Perla; this is for the privacy of our guests. Also, we do not receive guests... More

It's one thing to stay at a nice place, with all the amenities, architecture of colonial charm, and a perfect location close to the center and the Zona Rosa. But what sets La Perla apart is the personal touch of Lorenzo and his team, who have become friends to us and even organized a party on their stunning rooftop terrace... More

Christof, we really enjoyed having you and your two friends as our first reservation with AirBnB. After ten years of hosting guests we decided to give AirBnB a try, making the ENTIRE bed and breakfast available with an exclusive offer only on AirBnB and direct inquiries with us at our website. We were glad you liked the spur of the... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time - the room was lovely, Lorenzo and his staff were so kind and helpful and the location is great. I would highly recommend. We were really looked after - was like staying with friends. It made our trip to Guadalajara really special. Lorenzo's guided tour of the city was... More

I think everyone loves our location, halfway between the Cathedral and Historical Centro to the east and the Zona Rosa of night life to the west. All in walking distance. It is easy to help fun, adventurous guests like the two of you. More

This was our first visit to Guadalajara and the staff at La Perla Bed & Breakfast were extremely helpful and friendly, in fact so much so that we were caught off guard! We've never been treated so well in all our stays around the world. Lorenzo even walked with us downtown to show us where a good place to eat... More

Like you, many guests staying with us for a combination of business and pleasure appreciate our helping to discover the city in their spare time, especially when that time is limited. I am glad you enjoyed the free orientation tour and that it was helpful in making the most of your visit. More

As a retired photographer I like to stay 3 weeks in one place and plan excursions from a location of convenience. La Perla was far more than expected! From its convenience in the historical center to its beautiful accommodations, it is number 1 of all the places I have stayed. This is all due to the excellent services of the... More

Most guests come for three to five days. Your visit for 20 was unusual for us and what a treat. As a professional photographer doing a study of Guadalajara for your new book, we got new and different glimpses of our city from the lens of your camera. Your previous books were great; we think this one will be even... More

In a recent stay at La Perla - having difficulty choosing the right words to say "one of a kind". This experience was the most relaxing of my Journey Thru Mexico. The warmth began upon arrival. You and your other three friends were great guests. People are always surprized how quiet La Perla is while being in the middle of restaurants, bars and nightclubs to the East and to the West. To have perfect location and still a time of tranquility is the best of both worlds. Thank you for mentioning it. More

We are glad you enjoyed your few days in Guadalajara between seeing family in Mexico and then moving on to Puerto Vallarta. We are also glad you also found the bus station to Puerto Vallarta convenient from La Perla. Knowing which of our three stations to use really helps our guests to reduce travel time. More
