Depending on which room you get it may be a little noisy with the street being quite busy and walls/windows appearing a bit thin. If you get a room like we had towards the interior you'll sleep fine. Only gripe may be that the shower was a bit weak and took some time to get to temperature (waste of water).... More

We are a mature couple and we have stayed here for two months. The location is excellent, with a 5 minute walk to the central pedestrian core. The hotel has a locked entrance and is very secure. Staff are very friendly and helpful (and patient with our poor Spanish). Rooms are well appointed and very clean. WiFi is excellent. There... More

Good location, just a few blocks from the cathedral. The place is reasonably pleasant and I wouldn't warn you away the some reviewer have. A few downsides: There is a bit of an odor from the drains, as is quite common in older Mexican buildings. When I asked about the water they said not to drink it but despite this... More

Staying at this hotel was a complete nightmare. I found bedbugs in my room the first week and the hotel refused to return my money. I even showed them the bedbugs I had killed and a written letter from an exterminator confirming they were actual bedbugs, and they tried to pass them off as flies. I ended up leaving the... More

I really urge travelers to stay away from this hotel. The bathrooms are completely filthy; there seems to be a swarm of flies living in there and the toilet doesn't always flush. The staff was incredibly rude and try to take advantage of you if you don't speak Spanish very well. I don't believe they clean the rooms either. They... More

I asked for a quiet room, as I'm a light sleeper. They gave me one upstairs which looked nice and quiet at 8 PM. Low and behold, the louddest eurodisco in Guadalajara is on the next street and starts blasting the music at 10 and doesn't quit until 2 AM, even on weekdays. I opened the covers to get in... More

This Posada is under new management. There were improvements made, but now it seems that the staff is somewhat lacking in PR and information., I did not know until the 3rd day I was there that there were computers available. They did show me the kitchen, however. If you are on a tight budget and want to see Centro Historico,... More

We had a double room with private bathroom on the main floor at the back of the property. The room was very large and comfortable. The property is well maintained and the room was attended daily. The shared kitchen and other common areas are kept clean and tidy. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Overall, we... More

This was pretty decent for $25. Not sure what people here are expecting for that price. The hotel was hacienda style, with big courtyards and long walks to the bathrooms and showers. It has seen better days, but I didn't find it to be dirty, dingy, dark, or scary. I had a late arrival and an early departure. I wanted... More

I made reservations at this hotel by email and sent several emails back and forth to confirm a private room with bathroom. When I arrived, they had me down for the wrong dates. They offered me a room with no bathroom for 1 night and then said I could switch to a private room with bathroom after the first night.... More
