Stayed here for 2 nights recently and it was an excellent choice. Close to the historic center of town, about a 10 minute walk down Juarez, secure on site parking included, large spotless room, good size bathroom, well appointed throughout and a very reasonable price booked through Expedia. Two minor complaints, no in room coffee maker and the breakfast buffet... More

Hotel is not in the absolute center of Guadalara, but within easy walking distance or the subway (entrance is just out the front door) for about 50 cents. There is parking if you need it. We live in a rural area, so street noise is a usual concern but had no issue there. Buses go everywhere and the hotel security... More

We spent a couple of nights in this hotel, it is quiet, super clean and the service is very good. Excellent price, and it is close to touristic places. I do not have any complain about this place. Highly recommended!

First of all the best way to book is through another website like despegar.com to get the best price. If you do then this place is an absolute steal. Amenities include close, secure and easy parking, modern well maintained building, ample size rooms, clean everywhere you look, granite counters, ironing board and hair dryer, cheap room service, a bar, breakfast... A good place to stay and affordable for what I received. It is central to the city so you are able to access things very easily and walk into the city center to see the sights. Shops, supermarkets, public transport and restaurants/eaterys pretty much on the doorstep. There was no drawer for me to put some clothes, and no bar... More

This was a horrible experience. I booked a room 2 days too early. So I asked front desk if they could move the date up and they said no because it's a 3rd party site, www.venere.com. So I tried to call venere no answer. I got the hotel to call them and still no answer. I decided to cancel since... More

Like other reviewers I found the Hotel Portobelo to be safe, clean, comfortable and convenient. It is within strolling distance of the Great Cathedral and other tourist attractions and by chance I happened to encounter a big parade during my stay at the main plaza. Despite having a window that faced the main street, the well appointed room was very... More

Guy's, this place is very good in all aspects of a nice stay! I was here last month and must say, I was really happy with everything. The service is helpful and always smiling. The cleanliness of the rooms, hallways and building itself is really impressive. I got a few drinks at the bar and music was very enjoyable, the... More

This hotel is a gem that is hidden in plain sight, right in the middle of many tourist activities and shopping districts. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean, one thing I really like is that the room is designed to be eco-friendly in terms of electricity usage, the lights are activated by the key card for the room, so... The room is well decorated, TV is OK, it has an HDMI input that is a little bit difficult to reach, if you are traveling with kids this has no price as you can get Netflix running from your computer or tablet or any device with an HDMI output ( I always suggest to bring a 5' Redmere HDMI cable...
