Quite a disappointment. First room given not truly ready for guests with no towels in room, nor working air conditioner, toilet or shower. We moved to a second room on same floor, strong chemical smell on bedding, missing light bulbs, lamps with bare wires in place of plug ins and ineffective air conditioner. The hotel was clean and from lobby... More

The Fenix has been an Ok place to stay. We have been here for three nights. The first night we sweated all night long because the air conditioning was not working. The next day I woke up early and told the manager we were moving to another hotel. I mean we had our bags packed, walking out the door- lo... More

The location is outstanding if you want to be in the historic district. It is only a few blocks from the main squares and there are good restaurants nearby such as La Chata which is only a half a block away. Staff was very helpful. The two people I spoke to at the front desk at check-in and check-out spoke... More

I always stay at this hotel for years , until I started To hear noises in bathroom, and lights would go off, like some one pull the card out, kids voices, on hallways, and if you ask the personnel they, will tell, you, nothin, find out hotel history

The rooms very clean, staff very attentive and breakfast buffet had great variety. The hotel is located in the heart of the city very close to many attractions, shopping, banks and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Back in the 80s when I was traveling on a budget and stayed at the Universo a few blocks away, I would go into the lobby of the Fenix to see what a deluxe hotel looked like, and the moment I saw their prices I realized that it was way out of my range. I had a hankering to stay... More

Worst hotel in Guadalajara!! Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Upon entering room we noticed how dirty it was, bed sheets and pillows were BLOOD STAINED! Terrible! Notified front desk, they then brought other sheets but I requested new pillows, hotel manager says, "we don't have more pillows"! Wifi is slow or doesn't work. Would NOT recommend! Just a terrible experience! FENIX... More

Arived at the hotel only to be told by the desk clerk on that night that she would not honour the prices we were quoted on the internet which were confirmed and booked. Therefore an inconvenience experience. We booked for the night then went out and found a friendly hotel staff who welcomed our stay with equally clean rooms, at... More
