My mom left her diamond ring in the room after checking out. We went back for it and the cleaning lady handed it to her. Nice people, nice hotel in a great town near everything you want to see. Will be back.

We stayed here on July 2010. Awhile ago. The location is amazing, walking distance from everything!! Very private. I loved the hacienda feel and the huge wooden doors! Its NOT a Hilton but we were really happy with it. Front desk helped us to get a tour to tequila, Jalisco and well SALUD! We took a ride in the carriage... More

I don't like adding a review for a place that's been extensively commented-upon, and I haven't read ALL the reviews, but the reason I've always recommended the Hotel San Francisco Plaza doesn't seem to have appeared here yet. As a program director for study abroad students, I've often recommended the SFP to parents or other visitors who aren't completely de-sensitized... More

This hotel is right on the edge of the Historical zone, the rates are very reasonable (cheap really) we always find the room clean, but it's an old hotel. We don't spend very much time in the room so we don;t mind. The beds were comfortable, linen nice and crisp, shower worked properly. We drive and parking is just down... More

When other reviewers say it needs updates, I would remind them that it is my favorite latin- American hotel because; The solid old structure keeps the weather and the noise of the city out, The spacious courtyards provide a quiet place to relax, The birds and tinckel of plates awake you for the delicious breakfast brunch, and the staff always... I stayed in this hotel twice. The price is certainly reasonable, but there are drawbacks. The internet was weak and quite slow, but there was no additional charge for it. On the third morning there was no hot water in the shower. That is, no water came out when the hot water spigot was turned on. The location is great,... More

I got a great rate of $31 per night through Booking.com. Had problems again. Bathroom shower could have used a good scrubbing. Wifi was in and out and slow. Toilet was not anchored to floor. Little things that could easily be fixed. Room smelled smoky and air stale even with window open. On second day water in shower smelled like... More

This hotel has a special charm that made me think of an old hacienda. It is surrounded by charming greenery, flowers, song birds in cages, and it has an old world charm of yesteryear. It is solid and the windows and ceilings of the rooms are high and made of solid wood and stone-no cheap particle board here!! Even the... More

This hotel has offers a location that is central to many good sites in Guadalajara and some pretty architectural design elements. Unfortunately, that is all that I can say about it. The rooms are basic, unclean, and outdated. The bathroom in my room was particularly objectionable. It was unclean, terribly outdated and barely functional. Worst of all, one of the... More
