We stayed two nights in Hotel Frances. Wonderful place. It is across from historic capitol building which is also museum quality. Sure Hotel Frances rooms are small and our bathroom was small, but we picked the small room. What do you expect for a hotel in building that is over 400 years old? We ate in the restaurant twice--great food.... More

This hotel stay was so bad that we moved the next day. The hotel is in a great location but the positive comments end there. The room was dirty; the bedspread was disgusting and the floor was dirty. The toilet was so close to the shower that in order to use it sitting down one had to sit at an... More

It's a nice building, very old and stuff, but the rooms are just ok, they lack remodeled. The rest, I mean, historical building are all around so, it's easy to get to know historical downtown. They have also a nice elevator and a cool chandelier :)

This was one of my last choices to stay for a first time trip to Guadalajara and this turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Check in was easy and we upgraded our room to the top floor with an incredible view. Lots of charm and history in this beautiful building. It is very conveniently located and the restaurant... More

This hotel has the best location , right in the historical center of Guadalajara. You can walk to all the most beautiful plazas, horse drawn carriages, the cathedral, wax museum , the tiangis( Fleamarket), local hand made jewelry sellers and cute cafes. The room cleanliness is mediocre, there was blood on shower and floor when we arrived. You may have... More

Our stay at this hotel was by far, one of the best experiences I have ever had! Rather than trying to be something it is not, it transports you back to what it is. The best history has to offer. If you enjoy a peek back to "the good old days", this is it. It does have Wi-Fi, and new... More

Stopped here for 1 night 3 weeks ago, enjoyed it so much we returned for another 2 nights. Stayed in the Junior Suite, cost was approx £40 per night, The location to die for right behind The Guadalajara Cathedral close to all museums and attractions. The hotel built in 1610 over 400 years old is so full of character. The... More

This hotel is in an old building, charming and beautiful, has big rooms, it's clean, but it needs updating, not much as not to take the charm of the hotel away. Parking is a few feet away, the city center is around the corner, all the great sites are within walking distance, shopping, restaurants, other hotels are all around, it... More

We stayed here for 4 days after visiting several other Mexican destinations. I was really sorry we did. I was never able to get a good nights sleep with the constant music from the disco attached to the hotel. Sunday night at 3:30 am and it was still going on, loud enough as if it were in the next room.... More
