My boyfriend and I stayed at Hostal de Brujas in March/April 2009. We were very impressed with the service we received at this hostel. Jesus, who runs the hostel, was extremely friendly and helpful - He answered any questions we had (and we sure had plenty!!!). He also went out of his way to ensure we were happy. We mentioned that we like pineapple for breakfast, and his wife went out to the market and provided us fresh pineapple every morning of our stay! Also, Jesus woke up at 5am in the morning and walked us to a cab station to ensure we would get a taxi to the bus station so that we would make it on time for our bus to Manzanillo! The hostel in general is very well kept - the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and are cleaned on a daily basis. There is hot water at the hostel for showering as well. I would recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Guadalajara - it is well run and a very economical place to stay.
