Las Villas de Bella Vista is the perfect accommodation for a stay in Cuernavaca. It is a gated complex of several spacious and well appointed houses surrounding a beautiful pool. It is located in a quiet up-scale neighborhood and although guests must use taxis to access the central area, they are very reasonable and prompt. A connection can easily be... more

My husband and I have recently returned from spending 6 weeks at Las Villas de Bellavista. We could not have been more pleased--with the size of the casita, the furnishings, the grounds and the location. It was a taste of "Old Mexico" that was so special. The owners, Robert &Christina Chapman, were extremely helpful in giving us information about the... more

We had the pleasure of staying in Villa Las Palmas before Christmas. On previous trips to Cuernavaca, we’d always stayed in a hotel. This was half the price, twice the size (with a great kitchen) and our hosts Bob and Cristina couldn’t have been nicer. I only wish that we could have stayed longer. Charles San Miguel de Allende, GTO... more

I recently had the pleasure of spending a week at Las Villas de Bellavista with my 2 teenage daughters. The accomodations were very comfortable and had an authentic Mexican feel, with beautifully tiled bathrooms and locally made furniture. The grounds are filled with wonderful gardens and a very nice pool. It is a gated compound and I had no concerns... more

If you go to the website of the Bellevista Bungalows, you will find they are truly as represented in the pictures used as a tour through the compound, each bungalow with its own unigue features, a community pool with cabana, beautiful tropical landscaping, all reminiscent of nicely appointed1940's Mexico. The owner, a 3rd generation flawlessly bilingual American (by his own... more

What a perfect spot. We stayed at the casita in all it's 1950;s style glory. The bathroom had vintage tile with a curved shower! Outside the living room was a sitting area for breakfast and evening cocktails. The bus to downtown and the mercados was only a few blocks away, but we also enjoyed trawling the neighborhood for the fare... more

My son and I rented one of the villas for five weeks to use as our base while we studied Spanish at Universidad Internacional. We quickly felt right at home in our villa and enjoyed our time in Cuernavaca. The location of Las Villas is quite convenient. The property is located in a more residential area, but within about a... more

Las Villas de Bellavista afforded a safe, secure, perfect setting for a week of comfort and peace away from the hectic pace of modern urban life. The owner of the property, Sr. Chapman, proved a wonderful host, fine advisor and--most importantly--friend. The accomodations were beautiful, clean, well-appointed, and quiet. The pool and wireless internet service were welcome, fine amenities. Importantly,... more

Cuernavaca: Las Villas de Bellavista Date: February 27, 2008 Reviewer: Ray Jackson, Dunedin, New Zealand We stayed in one of the one-bedroom villas for three months from late October 2007 to late January 2008, using it as a base for exploring Cuernavaca and Central Mexico attractions. Our villa was comfortable, spacious, clean and well-appointed in a Spanish colonial style. It... more

My husband found "villas" on the internet and after communicating with the owners, we booked a long stay and were so delighted we returned the next year for an even longer stay. Great area of Cuernavaca, lots of places within walking distance, beautiful grounds, lovely pool and comfortable accommodations. With the owners and their family on the premises, it felt... more
