My buddy and I stayed here on our way out of Mexico City on the way to Taxco. Place is totally chill. Casa del Artista stands in perfect contrast to the craziness of Mexico City. It was great just to sit out on the balcony drinking beers and smoking cigars in the cool quiet night. Rosalita was great. She negotiated... more

James and I had the most woenerful stay at the Villa del Artista. Rosalia is the perfect playmate. She showed us all around Cuernavaca and included us in her family celebrations. The hospitality that she extends to her guest is above and beyond what is expected. Toni, Rosalia's assistant is an additional asset. Always there when you need her. Drink,... more

This is a beautiful property and the staff and owner were very nice and helpful. Included breakfast was good. The owner was kind enough to let me use her internet connection for email. I decided to stay in this b&b because of the pool but found that it was covered with bugs and very cold because it was not heated.... more

I've been here a few times already and this is the place to stay in Cuernavaca. It's quiet, spacious and located near the center of town, along with having a staff is friendly and helpful. I'd recomend Casa del Artista to anyone visitng that part of Mexico. more

On our way from Mexico City to Acapulco, my family and I stopped in Cuernavaca to recharge from a long day of traveling. We had found Casa Del Artista on the web and reserved an overnight stay. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and given a tour of the home. We walked spellbound through each and every room, in... more

We stayed in the very comfortable bungalow of Casa del Artista for 4 nights in February 2005 and it was the most relaxing and enjoyable part of our two weeks in Mexico. Rosalia and Cecil and their daughter Neesa were excellent hosts and always had time for conversation or to answer our questions about what to see or do in... more

This is a two-fisted recommendation for a bed and breakfast which oozes comfort ;and for a collage workshop replete with all the tools needed to accomplish satisfying work. The Casa is handsome. One cannot think of a person in the world not wanting to live there. Rosalia runs the establishment as the background for interesting people. She is welcoming, informative,... more

Like a marble palace with trees and swimming pool, this is a wonderful retreat. From the colourful streets of Cuernavaca, you step in through the door in the high wall and it's a different world. Wonderful art on every wall, and perfect hosts who speak both English and Spanish and are willing to show visitors all the delights of their... more

The pleasure of this small, soothingly quiet, and moderately priced bed & breakfast was heightened by the attention and solicitude of its owners, Norte Americano Cecil Touchon--an accomplished artist & photographer whose works fill their homey abode and his Mexican wife, Rosalia + plus their vivacious young daughter, Nisa. Cecil & Rosalia, in addition to providing a broad knowledge of... more

A home away from home, The Casa del Artista is an art lovers dream! We spent a lovely week in the bungalow, quiet, low-key, extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts are uproariously fun and accomodating. This gem is a great get away and Cecil and Rosalia go above and beyond to show you the sights, make sure you eat VERY... more
