Mexico in general has been getting a lot of bad press lately, some of which is richly deserved. Shootings in restaurants, bodies hung from bridges, and severed heads turning up in coolers are enough to make one write off the entire country and go elsewhere. Then again, as I write this, there are riots going on in Ferguson, Missouri over... More

This hotel is in need of a refresh. My room was so poor that we checked out after just one night. Upon arrival I noticed that the lamp was broken and the carpet was disgustingly dirty. I guess no one checked the condition of the lamp when they cleaned the room. Asked for the lamp to be fixed, it was,... More

This hotel, has beautiful views, peacocks are wandering out there and make the place look peaceful, the food at the restaurant has a good taste -very expensive-, but good. One can take a walk, for example, after having breakfast and makes you feel good. Rooms are comfortable. It's located right in downtown which makes it a colonial place, you can... More

You can tell this was once a beautiful hotel with real old world charm. However, it is like a once beautiful woman who is not aging very well. It is in serious need of an update to bathrooms, beds and furniture. This hotel is not up the standards one expects for Relais y Chateau hotels and makes me wonder when... More

The hotel itself is beautiful, you feel in your own old mansion.. The attention of the staff both in the restaurant and hotel and spa is excellent, food is delicious and they basically obligate you to enjoy amd relax each time... The hydrotherapy circuit in the spa is a most to complete the experience!!

I have been coming to Las Mananitas since the 1960s. It remains one of the most wonderful places there is . All things change, and some things are different. The menu boards seem to have vanished, but the garden with its wonderful seating amongst the tropical birds, and the drinks the food remain outstanding. The lavish botanas are still served... More

I,ve been living in Mexico City for 35 years and Las Mañanitas, as a restaurant, has been a favorite with regular visits 3-4 times a year for special occasions. The last time, for dinner on my wife's birthday, it turned out to be a real disappointment. Before you were offered a seat either in the garden (cooler because of the... More

We stopped here for lunch with a tour group from San Miguel de Allende to visit Cuernavaca. I must say that the restaurant was one of the best food experiences my wife I had. Do not miss a chance to eat at this 5 star restaurant.

Eating here is a wonderful experience. You first order a drink and sit on lawn chairs surrounded by peacocks and exotic birds. Free finger food is provided. After you order, and the menu is quite extensive, you are seated in the restaurant when the food is ready. The servings are plentiful, and the price is quite reasonable. We had a... More
