The gardens and the Japanese buildings are outstanding. Food at the restaurant is quite good and the service is fair. Rooms are sooooo bad. Most of the rooms are dark and lighting is almost none. Showers and bathtubs haven't been changed in probably 20 years. A good options would be to have breakfast there and see the Kabuki theater, walk... More

This hotel is beautiful, the Japanese buildings are just breathtaking and the vegetation, trees, and gardens are just beautiful, but the rooms are bad. Terrible lighting in the bathroom and vanity, the mattresses are probably from 1970, the rooms are clean but they have not touched them for 30 years. The door slamming starts very early, and it seems lile... More

The hotel is a beautiful Japanese-themed hotel. The whole lobby area is built to resemble a Japanese palace. Further down, you can find a couple of hotel buildings that are 4-5 stories high. The hotel buildings and the rooms, are not fancy, and they are starting to show their age. They seem to be clean, but the upholstery could be... More

They have really beautiful gardens, Room was nice and clean, towels very good and as much as you want. The shower is absolutely bad..no pressure , I can agree to save water but if you see how much water they use in the gardens than I can't understand why they try to save with the guests. It needed the triple... More

The hotel's location is fairly good, you can go for a walk or run around the premises or outside. Staff a bit overwhelmed over my stay (a few weddings at the same time). Room service ok. Poolside bar closes at 6pm a bit early for a weekend away. Overall a good experience, would love to have paid a little bit... More

Great facilities, the only thing I could complain about is that there is not enough signals to drive there. Food served at the hotel is vast and tasteful people in the lobby are good at their work. In case you don't know the place or want to know what amenities are performed you can ask the hotel workers and you'll... More

Loved our stay, the hotel and the garden are wonderful. Not sure about the comments about the hotel staff, everyone was lovely. We stayed in room 2302 with a view of the pool and an easy walk to the pool. Had breakfast at the hotel, very nice brunch. We walked the gardens, swam in the pool and returned to DF... More

Camino Real Sumiya is one of the most beautiful hotel I have stayed in more than 25 years traveling. Main value in my opinion is on its kind, helpful and pleasant staff. The property is amazing specially gardens, restaurants and main Oriental design buildings. There's a lot of history in this unique property in Cuernavaca. I spent a weekend with... More

The place is beautiful. Service at its best. Weather the best in the world all year round. But...if you were planning to rest for a weekend... WRONG PLACE... Unless you are a hotel wedding guest, who wants to stay awake until 5 am with a loud concert level music entering to your room on fridays and saturday nights, because of... More

At a first glance the hotel looks really great but the reason I gave it a low score its due to how outdated the rooms are and also the level of maintenance given to the rooms. To begin with in several occasions during our 1 night stay maintenance people had to go to our room because we could not get... More
