The hotel is nice but doesnt keep up with the price. Everything is very expensive, the pool is dirty the wifi is not for free and they only have one restaurant open. My wife and me have been dissappointet. The web page promises way more than what it is :-(

The architecture of the landscape and gardens are so beautiful, you really can feel in the air Japan!! However the rooms are very small and the food is just average. the service is good but it didn’t excel my expectations. I got a sports masage and it was good but then again, for the prices and the reputation I was... More

This hotel really needs an upgrade, too old, to dark, to noisy, and bug friendly, remember to bring insecticide you will need it if you want to sleep, spider webs are also included in the price of the room

Sumiya is set on beautiful, well kept grounds with huge flowering trees. The Japanese style resort is very well maintained and the service was great. Our room overlooked the pool which was nice but also a little bit loud. It is not however without fault. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable and they use an outdated system to keep... More

I had the opportunity to stay at the Camino Real Sumiya a while back and found it to be a very nice place to stay! It was an interesting mix of Japan and Mexico! It is located in a very secure area. There are quite nice views on a clear day of the nearby volcano.

Beautiful gardens, nice pool, the hotel was made as a big Japanese palace, it's like traveling to Japan but with the excellence in service that Mexico is famous for. I't a the price is high but is worth it. I think is a great place to rest and relax, if you go on the weekends you'll find families with children... More

We've been here for four days, the hotel is great, nice service, the meals are spectacular, this is a high level place the prices are high, you can go out to have dinner or lunch because Cuernavaca is very close from the hotel. If you love to play tennis you have 16 tennis courts, so you won't have to wait... More

This used to be the house of multi millionaire Barbara Hutton. The amazing gardens and Japanese style architecture should be part of a luxury hotel. Instead, the Camino Real assumed that a poor service, expensive prices plus terrible food should be enough. The Japanese restaurant is one of the worst I have ever been. Day old fried rice and not... The rooms at Sumiya are pretty old, I'm guessing from the 90´s. The bathroom are small are the deco is from where I'm guessing the 90's era. The landscape and ground of the hotel are geourgous. We stayed here for a wedding, I thought the hotel was overpriced, it worked for our purpose, but I don´t think we will return,... More
