Get completely from Mexico city one hour away. I went on a weekend, the hotel was supposed to be at 90% of its capacity but I saw very few people. I went to the Temazcal which I loved, the jacuzzi, got a 90 min massage, went to meditation and reiki. The personnel were helpful and kind. The food was healthy.This... More

Everything looks and feels relaxing. Great place to unplug. The spa services are top class. The food is really tasty and not your typical mexican food, it has the already known ingredients but mixed in innovative ways.

First starting with the positive opinion, the hotel is very nice, well taken care, the gardens and general facilities are awesome. The employees at the hotel are real nice and work hard to keep you well attended. The Sunday brunch was really good. The downside of the hotel came when I went to the gym, all the equipment is really... More

This gated enclave is very busy on weekends but quiets down during the week. Most patrons come from Mexico City to relax on the weekends. The spa staff know all the right spots to work on to make you feel great. After you get your massages you drift to their restaurant and then you find the chefs perform all the... More

The place is BEAUTIFULL, lovely gardens, very peacefull. The food at the restaurant is very good, with a touch that slightly changes a normal recipe and turns it into a wonderfull dish ( cold avocado soup with lemon sherbet... For example). The Spa is very nice too. With people that really know what to do the only problem I saw,... More

After running all over Mexico City, it was great to end our trip with three nights at Mision del Sol. The hotel is actually about 20 minutes by taxi ($Mex 80) outside of Cuernavaca in Jiutepec, an upscale gated enclave. The resort is very popular with Mexicans and we saw only a few from other countries. Most of the staff... More

The problem with marketing your hotel as a "Space of Light" is that expectations are immediately set very high, and unfortunately for my wife and I on our most recent trip they were simply not met. We escaped for a couple of nights lured by the promise of light and tranquility. A huge selling point for us was the Temazcal.... More

The hotel is not really fancy, yet it has it's charm. It's quiet, no kids allowed, plenty of areas to walk around, but don't expect to walk kilometers. The spa is nice, but not big. The jacuzzi is in an open area, so november and december can be chilly. The temaxcal is great, and the experience with the spiritual man... More
