This hotel has fabulous write-ups in many places but I was disappointed. Yes, the grounds are lovely but that's where the 'excellent' stops. This is not a 'destination spa' but a hotel with spa facilities, and not a grand one at that. It is very expensive for what you get. While the daily rates are high, the rooms are spartan... More

I've been here twice and it's a great place to spend a weekend, we were enchanted with the Spa and all the amenities there (body massages, facial treatment and the very special Temazcal). The hotel is very quiet and you can find also serious meditation instructors and other activities. The food is great (a bit expensive) but you find a... More

Gorgeous grounds, helpful staff, perfect pool, delicious gourmet cuisine, spacious attractive room. Had a lovely time. Not cheap, but worth it. Many health facilities available.

My husband and I just got back a wonderful relaxing weekend at Mision de Sol. If you are looking for a place to unwind 100% and forget the outside world then this is it. The gardens are spectacular and everywhere you walk there is a wonderful floral scent from the native plants. The food was delicious and unlike typical spa... More

Great place to get away from it all and I mean all. The room was nice though it did not have TV or internet. But this is a spa / resort and its meant for you to relax and not to be doing business. The hotel is more of a complex that you can walk all over, they have a... More

This hotel really is beautiful. The staff is excellent. And the rooms are nice. Its very appropriate for a honeymoon, romantic getaway or someone looking for a healthier vacation. My mom and I, unfortunately, were not looking for any of those things during our stay at the hotel. That said, I would still highly recommend this hotel, because I think... More

The Mision del Sol is a deluxe spa outside Cuernavaca with beautiful facilities and a very accommodating staff. The grounds are astonishingly maintained and feature lush foliage of great variety. The pool is spectacularly beautiful and large, there is a divinely relaxing jacuzzi, and the spa treatments are excellent; I had a terrific Shiatsu session with an assured therapist named... More

Rooms aren't rustic, but amazingly simplistic. I mean that in a good way. No TV's! So awesome, and I am a real TV lover. I actually READ and RELAXED when I was there. That is their goal. Mission accomplished. The rooms are very big, the showers were huge (two showers heads). They have relaxing music piped into every room with... More

Spent 5 nights hear in mid may. The accommodations are simple, but lovely. No t.v.'s in the room, no room service menus(but the restaurant will bring you whatever you want). Rooms are a nice size for two people. Food is spa, style, but tasty(desserts need work). Breakfast were uniformly delicious, and the rest of the food ranged from good to... More

The hotel garden is beautiful, excellent garden and pool area, the rooms are too "rustic" and the bed is not comfortable. The spa treatments are very good and the staff is also good, the problem here is the hotel staff, poor service and not helpful. This is a HOTEL with spa , this is not a SPA like Canyon Ranch,...
