We are HGVC members, stayed in 202, a 2 bedroom, which had a partial view of the ocean, and was very spacious. The unit was beautiful, with gorgeous wood doors, beautiful mosaics, and ceramic tile throughout. The small kitchen was very useful. The resort had great service, surprisingly yummy food (ceviche lunch on Fridays is terrific!), well priced drinks, and... More

Built on the side of a hill overlooking Playa La Ropa and the bay, the Mexican inspired architecture is beautiful. After going to many different hotels on La Ropa Club I can say for sure that this is the only hotel that has the best views, gorgeous beach front and 2 pools, one for kids and one for adults. Because... More

The downside first, and there is not much. Don't do the cooking class. While it was interesting to go to the local markets, there were too many people in class and everyone cooked mass dishes. No one was invited to wash their hands and there was sneezing, etc. Yuk! Also, we were there in early November and the mosquitoes were... More

Had a wonderful 2 bedroom condo a base where a stairway from children's pool and then to beach. Traveling with 5 year old who loves water so made life easy for both mom and us old folks. Although higher accommodations had tremendous views the need for stairways down to main level was exhausting and yet people hesitant to use golf... More

We came to Zhiua with expectations of a "quaint, charming seaside fishing village". Zihuatanejo is definitely a fishing town, but quaint and charming it is not. You'll do well to visit the authentic Mercado Central (central market) and stroll the beaches. However, a mere block off the main street and you run the risk of being set upon by starving,... More

Hola and thank you for your kind words and suggestions for areas of improvement we take them very seriously. Yes parts of Zihua are impoverished and not up to some North American standards but the people here so make up for it with their genuine charm. We look forward to your next visit. Yours in hospitality Marie and Team Zihua. More

After reading all the negative reviews I was worried about what it would be like but was taken aback by its beauty and perfection! If you are looking for a resort with character, style and originality then this is the place to go. Everything was done so well and it is the most beautiful resort in the area. The construction... Hola and thank you so much for your very kind words about the Club and our Team. Not everyone sees the true beauty of Zihuatanejo which truly is a Mexican Village and we are proud to be so. We look forward to your return visit. You are so right we too love the turtles. Cheers Marie and Team Zihua More

I do not recommend this place to anyone that has troubles with stairs. The hotel is on a hill and outdated. The food here and around the area is comparable to Cuba. I am looking forward to getting out of here, weather is nice and the beach is beautiful.

Hola and so sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, yes there are many stairs as we are built on a cliff over looking the magnificent La Ropa Bay. We do offer complimentary golf cart service though. Hope for your next vacation you find an ideal destination. Cheers Marie More

We had to book this trip 11 months to the minute and use more than one years worth of points but we wanted to have a memorable Christmas vacation. With Club Intrawest you never get to go where you want when you want so although not our first choice we were excited to try Zihua. We were given room 308,... More

Hola, we are so sorry we failed to meet all your expectations on this holiday. Yes we have only 2 three bedroom vacation homes situated in Building 2 and 3 so over Christmas they are very popular choices for families and tend to be reserved very early. Christmas and school breaks are probably very popular at all Resorts and Clubs.... More

We are Hilton Grand Vacation owners and used some of our points to stay 4 days at this Intrawest resort. The stay ended up being over Valentine's Day which was a lucky coincidence. I say this because the on-property restaurant had a special option for VD to eat dinner on the beach. It was very reasonable and super-romantic with rose... More

We can see the Heavens declares God's glories to us each and every morning through our patio, overlooking the Ocean front. The ceaseless sounds of the waves are lalabyes to our sleeps. There are so many stairs to climb every times we go out and come in. That is the reason why we ate lots of good food but lost... More
