Although the rooms are small and the pool is usually 80 degrees- we totally enjoyed the great location and friendly staff of La Quinta. We stayed in Room #9 and enjoyed an unusually large balcony with a great view of the bay. The cooking school restaurant " El Patio" was only 2 blocks away and has a wonderful breakfast for... More

We enjoyed our stay here. We have been to Zihua several times and like staying in the Madera neighborhood because it is a pleasant walk to centro. Making reservations was very easy. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and all of the staff was very helpful and friendly. We were two couples in separate rooms and fixed our breakfasts... More

Pluses: Great location. Great view, even from the pool. Walking distance to downtown. Right on the beach. Lovely to look at, the hotel that is. Nice pool. Cons: The smallest "suites" (villas they optimistically call them) can be claustrophobic in the bedroom. With a king bed, you can scarcely squeeze around the space. The living room is separate, and that's... More

Located on the Playa Madera you can walk to the store or along the shore to the city centre. The beach has sections of nice sand so you can always find a spot to play in the waves. You can walk the road to Playa Ropa but catching the bus for 7 pesos is easier. Playa Ropa is a lovely... More

Pros: I love this hotel because of the view and the location. It is on Madeira Beach, which is very nice for swimming, and it is within walking distance of downtown Zihuat and the fish market. It's also within walking distance of some wonderful little restaurants that serve the best grilled fish ever tasted. Their little pool is very lovely... More

La Quinta de Don Andres is such a delightful place to stay - our favorite in Zihua! We have been there with friends, children, and grandchildren several times but hadn't been back since the remodel in 2010. We enjoyed it before - we absolutely love it now. Our impressions after staying there in early/mid April of 2013 are as follows:... More

This property has a great view of the Bay and village of Zihuat. Their restaurant has some imaginative choices as well. My veal pasta with lobster sauce was first rate and delicious but they have a long way to go if they want to have a first rate restaurant. A restaurant with these prices should not use the small "cocktail... More

an easy walk to center of town; a bit more of a hike to La Ropa but the bus for six pesos presents a good option when going in that direction. This small hotel is spotless, the staff friendly, and the additiion this year of a small restaurant with excellent, well priced food is a real plus. The kitchen in... More

We just spenT two weeks at the Don Andres and we fell in love! We already loved Zihua, but hadn't quite found the perfect place to stay. Now we have! It is owned by a local family and they pour all their time and love in to this gorgeous hotel/condos. Pearl and Alex are gracious hostesses that will try to... More

Although we've been to Zihua many times, we moved to La Quinta for this trip because it had the right arrangement of rooms for my wife and I, plus our 3 sons and their families. It turned out to be a fine choice. Great view and breeze, clean comfortable rooms, easy beach access, and a short walk to all the... More
