We have just returned from two weeks in the Manzanillo and Zihuatanejo areas of Mexico with the last week being spent at the Casa Buenaventura in Zihuatanejo. This is a great little boutique hotel that worked out well for us. It features interesting architectural styling with only seven rooms, as well as a fairly large patio and pool area. Breakfast... We spent the last week of February and the first days of March at this bed and breakfast. It was probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Only three of the rooms were booked so it was very private and quiet for us. The rooms are large and have high ceilings, fans and air conditioning. We seldom needed... More

More than 60 friends and family just attended a January 26, 2008 wedding on Playa La Ropa. Traveling alone, I was the only person who chose to stay at Casa Buenaventura and could not have made a better choice. The rooms are simple, elegant, airy, immaculate, secure, and extremely comfortable. Laura did a great job with the design details including... More

This is a great little B&B if you are looking for friendly staff, clean rooms and a convenient location to Playa La Ropa. The staff did not speak English but were very patient with my limited Spanish. If you are by the pool in the afternoon they bring out fresh vegetables and bottled water to munch on. One of the... My mom and I just returned from a four-night stay at Casa Buenaventura. Since it was down time in Zihua, we had the whole hotel to ourselves! This is a very small, intimate little privately-owned hotel...the owner does not speak any English! We were in Zihua to plan my wedding in October, and this was the PERFECT hotel to stay... More

My husband and I just returned from our 5 night stay at Casa Buenaventura. The rooms and site are just as pictured on their website: clean, bright, and airy. The rooms were large with 2 sections: (1) the bed with plenty of space to spread your clothes out, and; (2) a sitting area with 2 built-in couches, a coffee table,... More

I almost hate to give away my secret hideaway, but I loved Casa Buenaventura and can’t wait to return. Located in the center of Playa La Ropa, it is a short walk from the beach. The proprietor Laura is a warm, gracious hostess and sees to all of your needs. The casa is accented with her artwork so be sure... More

We stayed 5 nights in Laura's lovely B & B. Good location on the main road through the La Ropa part of Zihuatanejo, so one could catch a bus or a taxi from the front door. The rooms were very large, sparkling clean and had their own private patio with a great view. No phones, no TV....just what we wanted.... More

I can not say enough good things about our visit to Casa Buenaventura. This was our first visit to Zihuatanejo and we had no idea what to expect. We were greeted by the staff and shown to our room (#1), it was just perfect. Super clean and spacious with a lovely patio looking out onto La Ropa beach. This hotel... More
