This was the third hotel installment in our annual retreat experience to Troncones. All the places we stayed in had totally different character. Eden is the small, intimate boutique experience, the place they write about in Conde Nast Traveler, etc. Eden is set up like a hacienda, the grounds are small but the buildings are set up in such a... more

My husband and I decided to elope to Mexico. We had heard about the hacienda eden from some friends and decided to stay there. It was the Best place to stay there and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Eva and Jim were wonderful, and the other Eva and christian and the restaurant were amazing as well. The place... more

I recently stayed in Troncones with a group of friends, and was disappointed with Eden in terms of value for the high prices of lodging and food. This seemed to be true in terms of Troncones in general as well, everything was expensive i,e, charging US prices, seeming to take advantage of the foreign tourists while the town itself didn't... more

Hacienda Eden was such a wonderful experience- I was completely surprised to find such a place after driving through Troncones. It is owned by a wonderful American couple who are laid back, but professional and who make you feel like you are a guest at their house. The rooms are ALL beautifully designed- and the outdoor showers in the beachside... more

Eden Beach is at the farther, quieter north end of Troncones and is an absolute jewel. Both Jim and Eva are charming, involved owners with an onsite 4 star restaurant. Their beach had no undertow while we were there and was first rate for swimming or boogie boarking. We spent 5 nights in two different rooms in the main lodge.... more

We loved this place and cannot recommend it enough. It was our first time to Mexico (outside of border towns) and it was above and beyond our wildest dreams. We got there easily by taxi from the airport. We took a red eye trip from Seattle and hadn't slept a wink. We were met immediately and told our room was... more

We have yet to stay at Eden, but have frequented the restaurant and delt with Jim (in charge at the hotel). The other place we were staying at was incredibly disappointing and has us wishing we were staying at Eden. We have committed to doing so when we come back to Troncones! The food in the restaurant is fabulous, the... more

We did not stay at Eden, though we may when we return to Troncones. However, we did eat dinner there almost every night during our 7 day stay. The food is delicious! The specials of the day (Fresh Tuna with Mango Salsa and basmati rice) rival any big city gourmet restaurant. The ambiance is top notch and the service is... more

My 11 year old daughter and I stayed at Eden in 2001 and loved it. Very nice American couple that own it. We actually got to join the birthday party for thier one year old son. Clean and comfortable bungalows with beautiful open air showers. Rooms always cool since the beach is just steps away. Litterally walk out your door... more
