....places like this are few and far between as Mexico goes All Inclusive. We ate very well as there are restaurants right along side of the beachfront Villa Mexicana. Rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. Pool and grounds are kept clean. There are two small convenience type stores steps from the entrance with beer, wine, etc and all... More

Was pleasantly surprise that this hotel is located right on la ropa beach ground level a few steps from the pool and you,re on the beach. Restaurant is excellent and service great. Very clean and well kept. Help friendly and very accommodating. Have stayed here before and would again.

It's sort of a Motel 6 kind of hotel situated on a Ritz Carlton beach. Initially I was disappointed when I saw the room. It was tiny. You need to keep the curtains drawn because the bed is just inches from the sliding glass door. The mattress is like a board and the pillows like chopped up pieces of foam... More

Loved this hotel, the staff were excellent. Rooms were clean. The rooms do not have refrigerators, so we went to Commercial Mexicana and bought a Styrofoam cooler and ice to keep out drinks cool. Our room had a deck overlooking the main swimming pool and the Bay. There were chairs on the deck and we often sat out there in... More

Location - that's the best part of this local hotel. You can head straight out to the beach (no stairs either like most of the other places in this town) and body surf to your delight. The hotel is right on Playa Ropa and it's a great swimming beach. Folks come here just for that. You can also walk the... More

Our room, as requested, was on the second floor with a great view of the pool and ocean and a nice, private deck. The room was sparse, with a very small closet space (24") and some shelves. We had two double beds which were a little on the hard side. The air conditioning was great! The shower was large with... More

I’m starting my review by sharing with you the most important thing that I have learned while vacationing anywhere in Mexico and that is to “Tip” everyone. A “Tip”, no matter what the amount wlll get you a better room, better quality, better service, better food, better drinks, etc. These people work for a mere pittance compared to most of... More

Had a lovely time at the hotel, it is centrally located on the beach with a nice walk in each direction to each end of the beach. The swimming pools were nice and it was a very relaxed hotel, the restaurants in either direction were great, although the restaurant at the hotel itself could be a little better. Great cocktails,... Great beachfront property. NO STAIRS! Pool is nice, there is a kids pool too. Restaurant is nice as well. Lots of variety and not too pricey. This is a great place for kids, and the vibe there is mellow - not too uppity or too curmudgeon-y - just right for families or couples who are not too much into the... More

This was our second trip to Villa Mexicana - this time traveling with our 1 year old. The location on Playa Ropa is excellent and the grounds/pools and public spaces of the hotel are perfect. It's a small property, with 2 very small pools and 1 medium pool so after a couple of days on-site, you kind of "get to... More
