The Tides is an incredibly well-manicured facility. The rooms are well-appointed, clean and certainly large enough for anyone coming from a one-bedroom apt in NYC. Do book a cab from the airport direct not the resort. Don't pay for a bed on the beach if your paying for food and drinks- outrageous Do venture out of the resort for awesome food- Amuleto, Casa Canta, Tenticones Awesome!! School has started and winter up north hasn't started yet, so--this resort (all of Zihua, I guess) is really quiet.
