I stayed in this hostel for 4 nights in April in a private double room. It had 2 double beds. The hostel's location is in "Colonia Centro", which is right in amongst the markets area of the town. So that makes it very interesting during the day - seeing the locals go about their business. At night, the streets in this area become very deserted, and somewhat dirty. Also, being some distance from the shore, the hostel doesn't get much in the way of cooling breeze. The hostel itself was a quiet one, definitely not a "party hostel", so if you are interested in that, look elsewhere. The guy running it is a North American man with his Mexican wife. Nice people and very helpful with instructions. There's a fully functional kitchen in the hostel if you want to make a few snacks. Overall, I found myself spending much more time in Ixtapa during the day than Zihua, which I found to have a very disappointing "beach". If I ever visit this part of Mexico again, I would... more
