Spent a week at this hotel. Clean and very friendly staff. The restaurant food was great, a little pricey, but worth it. Everything is close. We walked a lot to town, the beach and the wonderful bakery. The river boat ride was a lot of fun seeing the different wildlife. This non-commercialized area was relaxing and definitely worth it. There... More

Checked in this morning after about 2 hour drive north from Vallarta. Relaxing in AC. This is probably the best hotel in San Blas, where most if not all others seen when driving around today seemed rather funky. We have clean, comfortable, large 2 room suite with 2 Queen beds. Not elegant and certainly worn but at higher end of... More

We stayed here but one night, but returned for other occasions. This is a wonderful hotel a bit distant from the downtown area of San Blas, but such a gem that it ought not to be ignored. The premises are enclosed, the rooms clean and sufficiently spacious. All staff we encountered we pleasant, and the desk staff are most helpful.... More

A friend and I spent a week at this hotel while on a bird watching trip in the San Blas area. The hotel caters to birders, offering help in obtaining a guide (if needed) and providing information regarding boat trips through the mangroves. The room was alright (undoubtedly the best hotel in San Blas) and the attached restaurant had excellent... More

we enjoyed a four day stay at hotel garza canela during holy week. the atmosphere was very relaxing, something we hadn't experienced in some months. the attention from the vazquez family was excellent as always. wakening to swaying palm trees, tropical flowers and a deliciously prepared breakfast was a treat for all of us.

From the moment we were greeted by the first smiling face, we felt so welcomed. The Vazquez family really showed what warm, friendly service is all about and they treated us like they had known us for years. The well manicured grounds include palm trees, a spice garden, and beautiful flowers that are greeted daily by hungry hummingbirds. The food... More

We did an overnight road trip to San Blas last week - about a 2.5 hour drive from Bucerias, outside of Puerto Vallarta. We went with another couple and planned to see the town and do the river "jungle tour" by boat the next day. I did a little TripAdvisor research and saw the "best" hotel in San Blas was... More

Incredibly quiet during the first half of December. May have been a dozen people staying here. Service was wonderful. The front desk personnel has answers to all our questions. The room are a little aged. The pool was great. It was a good 10 minute walk to the beach but well worth it. The beds are hard. No face clothes.... More

This hotel is a beautiful experience. The sisters that own if do so with love and care. The property is just loverly, wonderful pool, very intamite and charming chapel and well manicured grounds. This hotel is safe, secure, clean and has the best service in San Blas. It also has the best price for the high quality and cleanliness of the hotel. The owners with their dogs are always there to help. Great courtyard pool and the best restaurant in San Blas. Try the octopus carpaccio or the cream of pea soup with... More
