Attentive staff especially front desk, Pascual our breakfast waiter and porter, kitchen staff. Rooms are small but more than adequate for 2 people. Air con ran 24/7 during our July visit. Great value for the money. Breakfast mainly Mexican food but also toast, eggs, cereal, fruit. Small spa sized pool great to get wet in. Markets outside the door, also... More

We echo points set out in others' good reviews. There were no bedside lamps but one was provided within minutes. In all other regards we could not have asked for me. When we had ice sent up it was always delivered speedily, and any assistance or advice we sought was provided thoroughly. All staff were very pleasant. The included breakfast... More

Very clean and modern, built in the European style with marble floors and walls in the hallways, the bathrooms very nice although the shower head needs to be replaced in Room 107 ..... but end tables should have standing lights (outlets are there, but not connections to any lamps ) ... and get rid of that old armoir /Tv cabinet... We stayed for 5 nights, and were very satisfied with the service. Very close to all the attraction, and had lovely view of the Cathedral. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and tasty. We would stay here again and won't hesitate to recommend to friends.

This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and our stay at Puerto Alegre was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel entrance is on a quiet street 2 short blocks from the start of the Malacon. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the rooms well appointed and the beds comfortable. Breakfast included such items as made to order eggs, potatoes,... More

We stayed at Alegre for 5 nights and were very impressed with both the service and the value. For $53/night we got a very clean modern room (very comfy bed!) with air conditioning. Breakfast for two, which was custom ordered, and a base in the center of town. The staff was consistently extremely helpful with helping us find taxi's, charter... More

We stayed there the first week of March, it's a very nice hotel close to everything, the people are friendly, especially the staff who work in the kitchen. Rooms are clean, WFi not so good. Bkfast. needs a variety, overall I will stay here again.

Like others have said, not a lot of bells and whistles, but the price is right and all the basics are there: great location, clean room, and breakfast on the top floor with a lovely view. We appreciated having a coffee maker in the room. Zona Romantica and the Malecon both a short walk away, and the flea markets in... More

The room a good size, nice bathroom, close to everthing. I wish there was a little better soundproofing because those cathedral bells are loud. I wish there was a small refrigerator in the room to store water and other cold drinks
