I was so delighted with Villa David that I persuaded a friend to drop everything and come join me. It's really like having a friend who has a mansion, as one breakfasts en famille with ownerand staff. I loved that it was in a real neighborhood rather than the tourist-infested other parts of town.

So many things to say about Villa David. The villa is impeccably clean and well laid out. Decorated with thought and care. The staff is friendly and nice. Breakfast is awesome! We stayed in Room 1 and loved it. The view is fantastic, William and Adrian did a great job cleaning and arranging our room daily. I think the best... More

This is one of the best places to stay for many reasons: Security: full security (doors and windows) with cameras focused on the outside perimeter areas. Comfort: it’s like living in one’s home – this is a large, Mexican style mansion with access to most areas. They have a massage therapist on the premises and he's professional and good. Cleanliness:... More

This is the place for a true gay vacation destination (not just gay-friendly). The quality of this Mexican Mansion is top-notch and nothing else really compares to it. I have stayed at other places and they do not have high standards or are no longer in business. What I enjoy here is the atmosphere of actually living in a traditional... More

This was my first trip to Puerto Vallarta. I selected Villa David based on the reviews here on TripAdvisor and also on the recommendation of a friend who used to live in PV. I could not have been happier! The owner, Bill, provided me with very detailed instructions about how to get a taxi at the airport. He also warned... More

This person didn't stay the dates he stated. If you read his other reviews , they all have the same theme. He is an employee of a gay hotel in Acapulco, perhaps he's trying to influence travelers toward Acapulco by writing totally false reviews about properties in other cities. First of all., we have a total of four cameras in... More

I came here with a couple of friends on a recommendation from one who stayed there last year. It was perfect for the type of vacation we wanted - a comfortable place to stay in the old part of the city, a little oasis to relax without the busyness of a big resort, and a comfortable environment. The B&B is... More

After we were married at San Francisco City Hall, we came to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon, and Villa David was the perfect place to stay. Luxurious yet affordable, it's a marvelous hacienda created by Bill and David, with wonderful architectural details, and decorated beautifully. The three floors of rooms surround a courtyard with a swimming pool, landscaped with enormous... More

This B & B, close to restaurants, galleries, and a short walk to the beach, bars and clubs, has been a favorite for the past 10 years. Owners Bill and David could not be nicer and the staff members are amazing and special people. The view of the sunsets over the bay after a swim in the pool is the... More

My spouse and I have been coming to Villa David for a decade now. It is our home away from home. Owners Bill Handman and David Held are wonderful and perfect host. The home cooked breakfast are substantial with a large variety to select from. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Bill has a wonderful eye for design. This... More
