Let me start of by saying we were a group of 12. There were 4 couples ages 25-35. There was also a family of 4 with two kids ages 15 and 11. We had two two bedroom suites and one regular room for our group. We absolutely loved our stay at the Mayan Place. In fact we all plan to... More

After staying at the expansive, lush, posh Mayan Palace in Playa del Carmen I was quite shocked upon arrival at the stark contrast of these grounds. It is much smaller and quite older. It wasn't a huge deal, I was just surprised at how different the chain was from one location to another. This resort was clean, the staff was... More

Good restaurant - avoid the buffet though. The rooms near the sea are really nice, especially on the upper floors. Electrical outlets are at a premium so bring a 3x1 and extension for the little current drain items. Be careful of using the Peso/Dollar interchange. When I was there their rate was 11.5 NP for a $ while the banks... More

This is our 6th or 7th time staying here and we have lived our experience each time. This year we were able to bring our 31 year old son. He's never been to Mexico before and he can't stop taking photos of the grounds and the scenery. We're right on the water and we have enjoyed watching the pelicans dive... More

On the positive side, the rooms are well-appointed, the beach is great for swimming, and the views are lovely. On the negative side, there are no two room suites with balconies, and even the rooms that do have balconies, have only room for a chair or two. The beach is quite small, making long walks on the beach impossible. We... More

We had just spent a week in our two bedroom timeshare at Mayan Palace before coming here for another week. We really loved this resort. It is smaller and the staff is more personable because there are less people to deal with. Grounds are beautifully maintained, pool cleaned daily, had a lovely Sunset Club room only for adults with lounging... More

Although one of the older Marina establishments, this time share is immaculately kept up! The staff is highly serviceable, friendly and always ready to assist! Spacious rooms with all the basics! Great food and very reasonable prices including several "2 fer" promos! Great place to spend a week or more! Jaime & Lois, Seattle

This is a wonderful place for a quiet ocean front holiday. The food is excellent and pool bar drinks are great. Ask for Bartolo at the sunset bar. Service is really good and the staff go the extra mile. The facilities , gardens are very good although the room is a bit dated. Thenearby marina has several really good restaurants... More

This is the 3rd Mayan we've visited and we had a wonderful time. We were a group of four (2 married couples). We had a 7 night stay and did many things outside of the resort, but spent 3 days/evenings onsite. When at the sparkling pool, look for Bartolo behind the bar, waiter Hector, and manager Mario. Those three guys... More

Welcoming and kind---however, they are all involved in pushing you into the time share trap, be careful. DO NOT OPT for the presentation and breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfy. Staff was very friendly. David and Hector at the bar and front desk - all kind. Sit up on the cabana and have a happy hour drink. Sit in... More
